"Look who's back, and feeling Prime!"
Hey everybody, there are a few books out on the market that I think everybody may be interested in.  One is Transformers: The Ark- A Complete Compendium of Transformers Animation Models which hits shelves today.  Last week Transformers: The Best of Simon Furman came out and in a few weeks we will start seeing The Art of IDW's Transformers.  Later releases include The Transformers: Megatron Origin which is probably going to be a must have for any true Megatron fan.  Lastly, if you weren't like me and didn't pick up the TPBs of Infiltration, Stormbringer, and Escalation, but still want to read the stories, then you may be interested in The Transformers: Premiere Edition Volume 1 which seemingly collects the three volumes into one giant hardcover.  I recommend this if you haven't picked up the volumes, I personally love the stories and think they are great reads for anybody who is a Transformers fan or just a comic book an in general.  Happy viewing everybody!

I want to read transformers:Ghosts of yesterday. It takes place before the new movie. A friend of me read it and said its good. Starscream and Blackout fight too see who's a better leader in it. Starscream wins.

Yeah, I read Ghosts of Yesterday when it came out, long before the movie (March). It is good, but there are some continuity problems that don't link up with the movie exactly, but they are easy enough to overlook. It takes place in 1969 and we see Sector Seven moving Megatron from the Arctic.

I'd recommend it for you Starscream, Ty, whichever works for you.

Don't go acting like Jimmy Stewart in "Harvey" just yet, Starscream! I'm back on and ready to gab away! I haven't seen the new books yet, but I think I'll like the animation models book the best. Just think, what would have happened if the G1 US cartoon continued until the toyline cancelled, they could have if they introduced more new characters in the show, that would've grabbed more Nielson ratings.

Thanks Jumpercliff for saying that, in a good way. But I just got back from the book store in my town and got 2 comics and the new gameinformer.

Sorry, didn't know you were out. Which comics? Also, is the "Games of Deception" comic out? And, how did you like my TV idea?
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 15:36:54
I got a star wars and a Sci-fi comic, and no Games of Decepticon comics is out, sorry Jumpercliff. And your TV idea is great. Or should I say, Aaron. Just kidding.

Something I want to ask you, Starscream: my little brother's bar mitzvah is coming up, and I promised him I'd get him something he's always wanted, the original G1 Optimus Prime. I've tried to get one for his b-day for two years, but have failed. I read in a current price guide that he is worth mint, loose, and complete, $65-70. At this one store, called Comic Cafe (family owned, great kids in preschool), the Primes are from $99-100, with a few exceptions that are missing things, rusty, or broken, and I want to get him a clean, complete one. How should I pursuade the owner, guide in hand, to sell me a Prime for somewhere in the guide's range?
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 15:55:01
I really don't know, Aaron. Maybe get him leader class prime.
Jumpercliff said,  - 2007-07-31 15:59:23
Well, thanks for the suggestion. I think I may try it a different way, Why did you ask if any body here owned more than 100 Transformers?
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 16:00:06
I'm bored.
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 16:05:56
Hey every body, go to www.tfw2005.com. Theres a funny joke in a comic strip on the home page.

I just saw it. The guy who did those I bet one day will make Jim Davis look like the creator of "Gertie the Dinosaur".

ok so i got the "Transformers: The Movie Guide" today. I spent like $20 on it and it was cool and all, giving back stories and such. My biggest complaint with the book it it doesn't include all the characters. There is no info on Iron hide, Brawl/Devastator, Bonecrusher, or starscream. WTF! i guess i should've looked thru it before i bought it.
Jumpercliff said,  - 2007-07-31 16:54:09
It's okay, humanerror. As the saying goes, "Everyone makes mistakes." Most of you know about the proposed addition of the Seacons into Universe that failed. Did you read about how the Collector's club is going to make them their newset exclusive?

The "Games of Deception" comic is out at stores now. I picked it up about a week ago; it was good. I thought the Beast Wars "Dawn of Futures Past" one from the previous year was better, but hey, that's just my opinion.
Jumpercliff said,  - 2007-07-31 17:21:38
Whose bios are in the comic?
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 17:23:43
I just got home. I went out for a while. But I saw the transformers movie adaption book, I did'nt want to get it because I've already saw the movie. I did see the movie prequel though, I passed it on though.
Jumpercliff said,  - 2007-07-31 17:46:15
Whoops (again), I gotta go. Speak to you guys during the week! By the way, I'm from Washington State. Who knows what'll happen when I go to a store like those.
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 18:03:25
See yah Jumpercliff.
Knight wing said,  - 2007-07-31 18:32:26
Jumpercliff, you're basicly out of luck buying from a collector store. They will generally charge a little more than ebay beacuse they have to make money on the stuff they sell and pay for heat and flor space. You can try to show the owner a price guide, but don't expect the price to drop much. However, if collector toys or TFs are something this store owner is into he/she will very likely be willing to make a trade. Just realize you'll still end up on the losing end of the trade. A while back I sold a complete 20th Aniv (masterpeice) Optimus Prime no box to a collector store and got my choice of $25 in-store credit or $12 cash.
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 18:35:31
Sorry guys but, Knightwing has recently asked me a question, and I wanted to answer him/her. I'm not young, and I have been collecting for a while now. I have the entire first movie wave, besides Ironhide. If you must know, Knightwing.
Knight wing said,  - 2007-07-31 19:37:31
That's cool. It's not why I asked though. I was just puzzled by your question is all. It sounded odd in my mind. I wasn't sure if you were trying to start a conversation or if you wanted to compare collections. I in no way ment to offend you. That's the probelem with reading text, no vocal inflection. :)
Starscream said,  - 2007-07-31 19:51:19
Knightwing, next time, don't ask.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2007-07-31 20:11:02
Yo, Starscream, chill. I don't know why you are getting so worked up over this, he didn't ask you anything offensive nor did he make any insinuations. He clearly stated his reasoning behind asking and if it was really that big of a problem you didn't have to answer. Just try and keep it cool, we don't need any bad vibes shooting around.
