There was just to much for one post so, here is the rest of the info for the home release:

And now for the store exclusives:

We'll start with Wal*Mart:
Transformers (Exclusive) 2-Pack MSRP $29.99
This contains the bare bones version mentioned above and "Transformers: Beginnings", an exclusive prequel narrated by the voice of Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen.

Next we have Best Buy:
Transformers Gift Set MSRP $29.99
This one has the two disc special edition mentioned above and it also comes with an Optimus Prime and Cliffjumper figure. For a short time, when you order any version of this DVD — including the Best Buy exclusive gift set — you can get a free collectible lithograph of the epic robots.

Now on to Target:
Transforming DVD package MSRP $39.99
This has, as the title mentions, a transforming case and the same discs that are included with the Transformers (Widescreen, Special Edition). This is only available in the store and not online at the moment.

So good luck with deciding what one to pick up, and happy shopping everyone!

I think that I'm allowed to go insane with at least one thing in my life... I'll just buy every version of it.

Twice.

That way I can have one to watch and one to keep put up!

^_^

I just settled with the 2 disc special, but I want the animated prequel from Wal-Mart too..... maybe it will be on its own someday.

I just got and watched all of the walmart 2 disc set with normal movie and animated prequel. The animated prequel was just a still cartoon of some prequel comics with not so top of the line voice acting. It did explain some but it wasn't really very "animated" it was mostly still shots. I am not that disappointed though as I cheaped out and got it for 19.99 and it was only 5 dollars higher than the one alone. The end of the normal disc had some bonus stuff on it there were 3 things an ironman trailer, the TF teaser (where the mars rover is destroyed) and a kind of music video with a website at the end that says go to autobotsrollout.com for more exclusive content. That being said I wish the walmart I went too would have had the one with the commentaries on it because the prequel is only 19 minutes of still comic shots.

Also transformers.com has put up a link to a film award to vote for TF movie in and it is currently getting beaten by 300 and harry potter. Luckily hairspray is far behind.

My mom just bought the Target one without my knowing. My plan was to get the Wal-Mart one and one of the 2-disc versions. I didn't know which one though, but now it's too late.

And COME ON guys! Don't let the movie get beaten. You know how much poeple still critcize the franchise. Make it win! Force it to win, no matter what.

Got the Wal Mart special one last night. I enjoyed the Frank Welker being Megatron in the "Beginnings" video. That was AWESOME!!!!

Yeah, I got my Target: Transforming DVD Case for $24... Bought me a Bumblebee: Evolution of a Hero Pack for $15... And they gave me a free $5 Gift Card... I asked them "Orly?" and they told me, "Yarly, didn't you lookit teh ads in newspaperz?" Some promotion they were giving out if you bought both of them together... However I would have liked somehow to get the Wal*Mart: Beginnings DVD by it's self... Nevertheless, I'm happy with the one I got...
