It was a good episode, but sad. Lockdown(?) got what he deserved.

I don't really have much to say, but I think that was the best episode yet.

Lockdown is awesome! He's cold, cunning, cruel, and sneaky. This guy has it all. And the way he takes his victim's weapons is just sick! He also thinks it was Prime that killed Megs, when really it was Starscream. And seeing Blitzwing again was cool. I wonder how long it'll be till the Decepticons learn thaty it was Screamer who killed Megatron. Once they find out, Screamer's in for it BIG TIME!

Arcee is a nice treat for the fans. She looks a whole lot like her G1 self and has the same voice actor. Yeah! But it's a shame she was brainwashed and might not be seen again. I doubt they'll make a toy of her.

I'll loved it when Ratchet's like, "This was medical tool, it was meant for healing! You turned it into a weapon!" Nice!

Also, with these flashbacks, I guess that shows that this series isn't connected to the G1 animated series.

Well, I just saw the new Animated episode and it's very cool. Ratchet being my favorite autobot was so cool when he beat up Lockdown's butt. I also liked how Lockdown's like a mix of Boba Fett and General Grievous in a Transformer's body. Very good episode, can't wait till the dino bots and decepticons return though. I like the love story between Arcee and Ratchet. And I hope Starscream will be welcomed to the decepticons when they found out he blew Megatron on to Earth. Also go to TFW2005.com to see an upcoming DVD battle pack.

A rockin' episode WITH Decepticons and very few humans... LOVED IT!

But I actually 'missed' Sari and Prof. Sundac!! I don't know if I've *ever* felt like that with human characters in TF shows!
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-01-19 10:52:31
Tyscream, I really don't think there was a love connection between Ratchet and Arcee. She was holding vital information and neither wanted it to fall into Decepticon hands, and Ratchet didn't want to have to wipe the memory of a fellow Autobot. It wasn't love, it was friendship and loyalty.

I have to watch the entire episode from the beginning. I've been recording them all every Saturday. I started watching it after it started. What I seen so far was good. Whenever a new character first appears on a show, they make them seem nearly invincible. Which is cool and keeps a persons eyes glued to the TV. I'm sure Lockdown won't be such a show off in later shows. Two good examples of this is the introduction of Armada Tidal Wave and Energon Shockblast. I'm not complaining though, I like new characters introduced because that's where the action is the most intense. Another good example is the Dinobots from G1 and Animated. I'd like to see how Lockdown does against those big behemoths. I'm sure we'll see Prof. Sundac and Sari in the next episode. I can't wait until Megatrons complete return. I hope they make an Arcee figure, something tells me we haven't seen the last of her. Blackarachnia needs a rival.

I just caught both ("Total Meltdown" and "Thrill of the Hunt")and have to say that this is probably the best Transformers series since Beast Wars. Each episode seems to get better and better.
As a tie in with the Autobots being "superheroes", (for the Total Meltdown episode) I like the Bane cameo (from Batman) with the little old dude that fought Bumblebee and the Blight"esqe" cameo in the character as Meltdown (from Batman Beyond)as new Human-Supervillians for Animated. The Total Meltdown episode did not have any Decepticons but it felt like comic book crossover episode. Just go to youtube and type in "Transformers Animated Total Meltdown" to find the 3 parts available for viewing (or visit seibertron.com and link to episode from there).
The Thrill of the Hunt episode introduces a new, wicked cool Decepticon called "Lockdown". Lockdown has definitely got Boba Fett and Grievous traits and is one hell of a great idea for the Decepticreeps running rogue for this series. (Lance Henrikson is the perfect voice over for this character!) I also loved the tie in with Arcee and Rachets' backstory/friendship. I am really surprised by how good this series has turned out this far.
I really wish Hasbro does not make us wait until June to get these awesome new figures. The Autobots and Decepticon (especially Lockdown) figures will be must own when they do release.

I haven't seen it yet, but later I'll tell you how i liked it. Was Lance Hendrikson in Predator? A friend of mine says it was Alien.

I just saw it, and it was good! I read that Lockdown will be back in episode 23, and one thing I really hope happens is that the make Arcee later on a permanent Earth-bound Autobot with the rest of the crew. She does look like her old self, and Sue Blue did a great voice.
Tyscream said,  - 2008-01-19 12:12:33
Sorry Jumpercliff, I'm an Alien/Predator fan as well but I don't know that, search it up.

I'm watching it right now and i love it. it is the best yet.
Who else thinks R.C. looked just like her G1 self?

The cartoon initially appeared to aim for younger fans. well, guess not! i LOVE the dark theme about TFA.
Sad about arcee getting mindwiped though.

WOW!!!! thats the best ive ever seen. incredible action (prowl showed his best moves this time). and a well done storry. lockdowns pretty tough. lockdown was beaten the same way prowl was: with a surprise.< thats the only way you can beat someone like prowl (10p. out of 10 for the logic).
is blitzwing now the decepticon leader? (i dont really think so, but when he said: "hand him over at once!" he sounded like he has the say.

I saw this online earlier, but I missed Thrill of the Hunt (I'll catch it tomorrow). Anyway, I liked this episode. They gave Meltdown some good motivation anyway. Also I think Prometheus Black is an interesting character, and he does indeed look good in a pimp suit.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2008-01-20 07:24:46
Well, one thing is for sure; if you missed the humans in "Thrill of the hunt", you sure get your fill of them in "Total Meltdown".
So if I thought "Thrill for the Hunt" was the strongest episode, I have to say "Total Meltdown" is the weakest. Maybe that's why it was removed. It's pretty much pointless and I found it kinda dull.
That aside though, I have to relate to Bumblebee. Of all my buddies, I'm the shortest. And I'm not even that short, I'm just not as tall as everyone else. That being said, though I am the strongest of my pals and I can sure pack a whallup, so they know when to quit.

The voices are cool. But, I'm disappointed. It looks like we went back a few years in time. Even the Pokemons where nicer to look at.
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-01-20 07:26:39
I saw the Meltdown episode. Wow! Meltdown's basically your state-of-the-art comic book supervillian. He reminds me a LOT of Blight from Batman Beyond. And he's way more of an evil villian than the Archer. He was AWESOME!!!

Also, was the suit he wore as Meltdown a different one than what he wore as a human, or was it the same one but with some modifications?

And, has anyone noticed that some of the human villians have the same names as some very old never-seen-again Transformers toys? Lemme explain, Meltdown is one, it was the name of a Micromaster combiner Decepticon (Autobot in Japan) part of the Battle Squad (Jet Tank W Team in Japan). The Headmaster is an obvious reference to the old Headmaster transformers figures. And Meltdown's old man sidekick Colossus shares his name with the European G2 Obliterator Clench who was also known as Colossus.

After seeing today's episode, I must say that Lockdown is awesome! He's cold, cunning, cruel, and sneaky. This guy has it all. And the way he takes his victim's weapons is just sick! And Lord Megatron, if you're reading this, I got the pics and you just made me wish i had gotten the Excellion figure when i had the chance. That is VERY Rodimus Prime-esque. Me like a LOT! Kudos!

Eh, good episode I guess. But Animated needs a little less humans. That early monster thing that tried to crush Bumblebee onto scrap metal almost reminds me of The Batman Bane. Not that I've seen a lot of those episodes. But thats for the Youtube episode. If you want to see what I think of the Thrill of the hunt episode see my comment at the topic before this one.

Pretty ccool. Arcee was a good touch to it, but losing her memory was AWFUL! I'd give it 4 stars.
Bruticus_42 said,  - 2008-01-20 10:09:16
ok, so Lockdown broke Ratchet's face wing, cool! AND did you see Lockdown's chest? Looks like a rub sign to me!

Oh, and BB horn, funny as hell!

It is a very sad story, but it still had some action. I liked it that Susuan Blu played Arcee again. That was awesome. It is a shame though that her memory got wiped. So for this cartoon, I give an emotional two thumbs way up to Cybertron for a job well done. P.S. I did like Bumblebee's car horn that makes the Robots in Disguise sound. It was cool. Looking forward to the next episode.

In Transformers Animated I rather like when Bumblebee and Arcee when they are in love with each other in a love story not Ratchet, he like too old for her and so forget it! Arcee is perfect for Bumblebee, and just because they are both young and so I'll said young love, and that will be a love story when Arcee returns.
