To commemorate the day of costumes and spooky fun, we thought it 's only appropriate to roll out our latest character page, Animated Blackarachnia who made her Earth bound, show debut, set on Haloween

Also, I'm requesting you send me pictures of your Transformers costumes!  (perceptor@unicron.com) I'll make a posting Sat/Sun showing them off, which will include my son as Animated Bumblebee (he's so excited!) and Sister-in-law as 'movie bumblebee'  Should be interesting!

Here's the thing I don't get about Blackarachnia: she get's her beast mode long before the "Transform and Roll Out" movie, yet, in the movie, you can clearly see that her robot form is different than her robot form in the show. It's like the Pre-Earth Megatron. The toy and the movie version look nothing alike. It's a strange happening.

No TPR, that form she has in the movie is her early character model design was included in the initial Transformers Animated press kit from Cartoon Network we received months ago. It was also used as her toy's box art.

It was later changed to the currrent final version we have now.

They both look slightly different, but they're supposed to be the same body

this year was kinda crummy im sick as a dog and there were only like three trick or treaters. at least one of them was Prime! of course he got extra candy :-)

Either way, Sabr, the models are different, though, aren't they? You'd think that a level of professionalism would have ensured that they used the correct models.

Well, I'm now saving my Ghostbusters suit for next year, and I was planning to wear these raptor gloves with a suit and dress up as a lounge lizard (which I may save for next year too), so now I'm just going to wear a hat, googles, and a fake cast and dress up as a skier.

Well TPR, it's quite possible that her model was changed after the scene in the movie was made. After all, when she appeared in the film, she was barely seen and not a whole lot of detail was shown for her. So, it's not that obvious that she looks different when she reappears.

No Transformers for me today, not even a Blitzwing Pumpkin. I was busy being VEGETA!! I even have a Scouter toy (Just ask Jumpercliff. He saw it!) to complete the costume.

As for BA, well I still need to get her...but not as much as I need to get Thrust and Dirge.

Lol, Darkton. I went as S.S. Gohan two years in a row. Once as Gohan from the Hyperbolic Timechamber in the Saiyan armor, the next from the 9th movie "Bojack Unbound". Good times.

That's the thing, though Sabr, the two seasons were made at the same time, as well as the movie. It just seems careless. And regardless of the fact that not many people noticed, it doesn't change the fact that it happened. It's like the in BW episode "Code of Hero" when Optimus, Silverbolt, and Cheetor fly away, you can see non-Transmetal Rattrap standing next to Rhinox. Sure it's small and insignificant, but it's there.

And it can be ignored and/or shrugged off.

The transformers costumes you buy aren't that detailed, there all flabby and absolutely no cardboard metal plates to even try to detail.

There were animated Bumblebee & Optimus Costumes this year, but not in adult sizes. Dag.

Anyways, I was thinking of getting an Optimus or Soundwave Tee from 80'stees.com, but never got around to it. I simply but on some K-mart Movie Bumblebee tee, possibly worst costume ever.

I also Spent most of the night looking for my lost brother, who had decided to wander off while trick or treating. Bah. Worst Halloween ever. I'll have to try harder next year.

I never said "forget", TPR. I certainly won't forget it, but I won't let it bug me either.

Heh heh. I know what you mean about the "little mistakes". I made a G1 Thundercracker costume this year, and while I had a picture frozen on my TV screen to get a good view of the wings,I noticed that Starscream's Decepticon symbols were upside down in the shot. >.< As for BA,my personal theory is that they finished the final design, but the initial animation had already been made,so rather than scrap it and make extra work for themselves, they kept the animation like it was.
Sabrblade. said,  - 2008-11-04 10:36:58
G1 Starscream's Con symbols are supposed to be upside-down on the wings. That's not an error.
Blitzwing said,  - 2008-12-07 21:52:24
Really? Strange how I've never noticed that before, concidering that I've watched the cartoon quite a few times. I always thought they were right side up. O_O Silly me.
