Customs - ya can't get enough of them

These days, more and more third-party companies are coming up with more custom Transformers sets for purchase. You better get comfortable, there is a LOT to cover here.

First, BBTS has full color images of Best Toys' custom Classics Optimus Prime trailer. This image shows the color of both the regular version and that Nemesis Prime version. Click here to see the trailers. Best Toys themselves also have several more images of the trailer and its features. Click here and here to see the images.

Second, TFClub has done it again with their latest custom set: Gear of War. This set includes accessories for several Classics/Universe figures, as well as one G1 figure. Included in the set are shoulder cannons for Classics Mirage and Universe Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, a ladder and gun for Universe Inferno, and an actual transforming figure of Autoscout for G1 Soundwave!

Third, FansProject is making another trailer. But his one is different. It's another trailer for Classics Optimus Prime. Yes, there will be two custom trailers for Classics Prime on the market. But what makes this one different is that, unlike the more up-to-date modern tech design of Best Toys' trailer, FansProject's trailer has a more classic G1 feel to it, and it can have the City Commander trailer hook up to it to make a 'convoy'. Check out their "G3 Trailer" prototype here and here.

Fourth, an upgrade FOR the City Commander set is being made. Yes, an upgrade for an upgrade. TF08 has images of this set made by a group called iGear Toys. This group is also making a second custom of Autoscout. While it is similar to the one being made by TFClub, it does have its differences and is sold separately.

Fifth, while this news is a bit old, another Masterpiece Roller has shown up at TF.SG. This version of Roller does not transform, as it is merely a larger, Masterpiece sized version of the G1 Roller toy, complete with his nozzle and fuel pump accessories. Also included in this set is a (rather nicely-designed) new gun for MP-02 Masterpiece Ultra Magnus. Click here to see the images. Plus, Robotkingdom has even more images of this set here.

Finally, images of a custom Masterpiece Ultra Magnus armor protoype have surfaced at Yupoo. This armor will be made by Justitoys, known for their Masterpiece Prime trailer and their WST Dinorobots. Click here to see the prototype images.

Behold the awesomeness! Too bad all these kits and sets will most likely be mad expensive... a shame really. That Ultra Magnus armor is probably the best set I've seen (I saw another Masterpiece set a couple years back that required the figures arms to go behind the body and the trailer have the larger robot arms). Looks like that set just has pieces that go over MP Magnus's arms more suit like... which I prefer, having read the DW G1 comic (which explains that Ultra Magnus is Optimus Primes' brother).

I know that the kits are very expensive and in these tough times, one has to pick and choose what to buy. There are so many great toys coming out and so little money. It's a shame that I'm an adult and have to pay bills and things like that.

well cheetor2 it's not that easy for kids either. not many kids get custom tfs, but Im not one of them, I have the shadow commander trailer set, and battle rollar.

i do have one issue, I'm 14 and i dont know any place that will hire me but nonwtheless These customs are AWSOME!!!!!! most likely expensive

Yeah Cheetor2. like jas said not many kids get custom TFs. Main reason is because kids break things and those are too expensive

Im 15, and I have City and Shadow Commander, as well as Battle roller which i mistakenly broke one of the arm joints on roller, so now i leave it in rover mode so i can still use it as a jetpack.

Back on topic. I hope FP does a nemesis version of their trailer, that way the colors will be more united, but im still sold on that as well as the BTS trailer
I cant wait! ^_^
