Today  marks the exact 25th Anniversary of our favorite brand, Transformers. On this day, the first Transformers Marvel Comic was sold at comic stores across the nation. Now, 25 years later, Transformers are at the height of popularity, with a movie that is the 30th highest-grossing of all time, and a sequel coming about 2 months away.

Below, talk about your memories, favorite episodes, favorite toys, and thoughts about the franchise as we celebrate our favorite robots in disguise!

I don't remember my first Transformer, but I do remember my first Optimus Prime. The Powermaster was just one of my best birthday presents I ever got. Today, my most prized transformers include a Pepsi Truck Prime, Unicron, and Dinobot (one of my favorite characters of all time). I grew up on Transformers, and it somewhat influences my artwork to this day.

Of course, you're talking to the guy who came up with Sailor Primus and Sailor Unicron.

OH man. I didn't get involved in TFs till Beast Wars, as apparently I did not see any G2 stuff at Target or TRU back when I was a wee lad.

So, in a parody of both Marylin Monroe and Smithers' Mr. Burns dream:
Happy Birth-day, RID x2....

This turned into a fun thread to read!

I didn't get into Marvel comics as the the cartoon satiated my need for TF fiction, but once that went off the air, I got crazy into the comics. I was one of those guys running all over creation looking for back issues! Ah, such fun memories.

This shall continue tomorrow as I unveil a big news post to celebrate the past 25 of the TFs.

I remember 1984. The first tf I ever got was sunstreaker. I stopped collecting G1 Transformers around 1987. The last G1 fig I got was scorponox. I started collecting again two years ago when the movie came out.
grayfoxx13 said,  - 2009-05-09 14:04:34
My first transformer was a G-2 megatron. I didn't really get into it though. I also got waspanator but again just sort of forgot about him. I got a transmetal rhinox when I really started to get into Beast Wars and I went from there. Too bad I don't collect anymore, waiting for old G1 models to come in from ebay sure was exciting!

My fondest TF memory revolves around a garage sale my mother was having. I was just a little kid and I decided I'd give out free fruit punch to the customers.

However, the customers weren't comfortable just taking it so they kept giving me money for it. By the time I was done, I had enough money to buy Wheelie from the toy store.
