Images of WFC Optimus Prime and Megatron toys!

This is it! This is what we've been waiting for! UGO.com has provided the first full images of the upcoming War for Cybertron toys of Optimus Prime and Megatron. The images give us a good look at both modes for each figure.

Optimus turns into a very sleek red and blue truck/tank type vehicle with a gun mounted on top and two large exhaust pipes jutting out in the rear. His Robot Mode is hulking and heavily armored, as suitable for such a war. Megatron, on the other hand, turns into a gray, red, and black "hovering tank" with his signature fusion cannon set in the center of his form and facing forward (another angle of the vehicle mode). His Robot Mode kinda resembles a hybrid of sorts between G1 Megatron and Animated Cybertron Mode Megatron.

The two figures are Deluxe Class sized and will become available at a later date. To view each image full sized, click on each image in each link.

I hope those are leader class figures.

Sabr does clearly state in the post they are deluxe class. For a limited line, Leader class figured are somewhat impractical.

It don't matter what class they are. These figures look sweet as sweet can be. I can't wait for these. The best part about them is that you can see these 2 turning into the modern forms we've all come to know and love.

I don't like Megatron's design, and this toy does nothing to change my mind. Prime on the other hand looks okay. The articulation looks on par with the Classics "The Battle Begins" pack or the Movie 1 protoforms. The transformation looks good too. I fear for floppy-shoulder syndrome, and hope it's just mistransformed. Likewise I hope there's more yo Megatron's hands than meets the eye. And where's his cannon in robot mode? And where's Prime's giant axe?

I'll wait for the reviews before I make up my mind. Unless of course it's a 2-pack, in which case you know I can't resist.
