Animated toy galleries and comparisons

While the Transfomers Animated toyline is somewhat starting to reach its ending moments in the U.S., the series is only just beginning in Japan. And with their version of the show come new versions of the toys in their markets. KOToys.com has lately been posting several galleries of some of the Japanese Animated toys, and have included side-by-side comparisons to their American toy counterparts.

Ironhide (Bulkhead) comes in a metallic paint scheme and has had all his dark lime green replaced with a deep jade green. Shockwave comes in a lighter and somewhat more show-accurate shade of gray. Lugnut comes in a more royal violet (as opposed to the U.S. figure's more duller violet), except for his unchanged axe/tailfin. Grimlock comes in a much brighter color scheme overall, save for his unchanged dino claws dino toes/robot claws, and tail tips. Starscream sports metallic blue and red on his wings and cockpit section. And Prowl features metallic gold on his motorcycle's front and sides, as well as what appears to be chrome silver in his headlights.

Also of notice is KOToys's shared gallery of Blitzwing at Seibertron.com. Blitzwing comes in metallic paint scheme and, similar to Bulkhead/Ironhide, has had a decent amount (but not all) of his dull gray replaced with a golden beige.

I'm still trying to get the entire line of animated over here that was released to the general public and not some sort of exclusive or oversea order in the US. Focusing on finding arcee atm but looks like its gonna be ordered online if it ever shows up on toysrus.com :<. I hope blackout, rodimus, and others are not rare exclusives but at least maybe walmart or something because they overstock and have tons of stores.

Wow, those figures look atrocious or just plain silly. Or they don't really have a huge difference from the American versions.

Not worth the import prices by ANY stretch of the imagination.
