I don't think the name is all that bad. I'm guessing its cuz of trademark issues, but at least its more original than just putting autobot/decepticon/dinobot/constructicon. Maaan this gallery makes me wanna save up for the botcon 2010 set already, cuz those two figs look nice together. Generations really is hasbro at its best.

Actually, this isn't a Generations figure. It's a Reveal the Shield figure. Generations is a Deluxe-only line (and it's fate seems to be fluctuating), and the reason that he's called "Solar Storm" instead of "Autobot" is because of the RtS gimmick.

Notice that there are no insignia anywhere on this figure. The only way the kids are gonna find out if he's a 'Bot or a 'Con is if his rubsign (which, accoding to these pictures, seems to be hidden away from view) is rubbed. Thus, we get weird names like "Solar Strom Grappel", "Speical Ops Jazz", "Turbo Tracks", and the like, without any visible indication of what their faction is.

Oooooooo! Sounds kinda like classics (at least the rubsign part). But the name thing does sound pretty awesome (at least they get more originality). BTW arent MP Grimlock and Prinacon in the Generations line? If they are then how is generations deluxe only?

No, MP Grimlock and BBTS Piranacon are under the standard "Transformers" label, despite their red packaging. The new Activators of Movie characters are also red-boxed, but they're also under the standard "Transformers" label. Ergo, they're in the 2010 main line instead of Generations (which is a Deluxe Class-only line).
