Michael Bay Speaks

In a message on his own message board, Michael Bay said of a Transformers Movie test screening, "We had two screenings tonight 850 people. Highest test scores in my career. Blew Armageddon away which was a 92. Go figure."

How badly would you like to have been one of those 850 people?  Hey, if you're one of the 850 shoot us an e-mail!  Of the person who commented and said, wouldn't it be cool if box office numbers blew away Spidey3 and Pirates3 too...  Oh yeah, that's where we come in fellow fans!  So how many different people are you going to invite to go see the film w/ you???  :)

Thanks to the allspark.com for the heads up!

I just donĀ“t have words ... WOW, after all, seems that all the people dissing about the movie is going to eat their words with ketchup, because there's too many signals that this is going to be the event of the year and a reeeeally good time for us transformers fans both old and young.FORCE CHIP, IGNITION!!!

would have been pretty cool to be one of those 850 people and it would be cool if it was the most succesful movie of the summer or even better the year though i think spidey3 and pirates3 will be very succesful. i really wanna see pirates3

Bigbot.com forums is talking about MSNBC comparing the summer movies and actually compared the release of TF to a certain Will Smith alien movie. What an insult. But I also hope the movie is great and does well and they make like two or three more of them with new characters.

Well, Bay & co did a number of things right with this movie. As far as anyone (including web sites) has said, so far the charactors stay fairly true to their g1 personas. They've also gone very big budget with the effects and used relitively small names as stars. Add to that (love it or hate it) the totally new bot modes and this movie has (at least on paper) got everything needed to draw fanboys & general public. I hope it does VERY well. I'd love several sequils.

I can't say it enough. In the little 4 scene preview we saw, what struck me is that the dialog was just *so funny*. I mean, even in the midst of intense action you find yourself laughing. To me, that's what separates the okay action films from the GREAT ones -->Good writing. And by all appearances, this film will deliver. Your heart is pounding, you're laughing and my eyes got dried out, not wanting to allow myself to blink!

In all my adult life, there has *never* been a movie I've looked forward to more. And nothing else has even been close. And what's cool, I think this film will actually live up to the hype... Spidey 3 looks decent, but Pirates3 yawn. I'm totally bored w/ them! ARGH! July 4 cannot come too soon for me.

I really hope that the 2nd film is Scramble City-esque because that means we get city-formers and lots of combiners! The third one should be about the remnants of the defeated Decepticons trying to regain their former strength (Era of Galvatron and Ultra Magnus) and the fourth should be when Unicron finally shows up...
