Okay, quick news round-up!  I assume everyone noticed the new Movie inspired look of Unicron.com, featurning the movie rendition of the Transformers home planet of Cybertron.   Also want to draw your attention to a few other newer features:

Submit News Item:  is our way to help recruit your help keep more up to date.  You can find the link in the "Interactive Section" on the left hand navigation bar or our main page (designated with "new")  and on the right of intividual news postings.  When sending news items, please be sure to include links if there are some cool pix or sorces of your information

Although it's been up for awhile, also want to make everyone aware that at the top of the right hand navigation bar on the unicron.com main page, you can find a listing of the the "Top 5 Most Recent Site Content Updates".  We hope this makes it easier to find newly added character pages and other updates that might otherwise get lost in a sea of other great TF *News*.

Okay, now thanks to Gus and Master Dex, the first two to notice the "Submit News Item" links...

Thanks to news tip from 'Gus' Denzel_Snipes05@yahoo.com:   "This is just a sort of funny bit of news, but still cool for being an homage to Transformers... Right now Starburst candy has a limited edition pack of "retro" flavors, each of which is supposed to symbolize one of the past few decades (For example "Hey, MANGO-rena!" is the 90's flavor). Well, the new Starburst flavor which is undoubtedly intended to represent the 80's is "Optimus Lime"!! With a nearly infinite number of pop culture references that could have possibly been chosen to stand out as a 1980s icon, I think "Optimus Lime" shows what a huge impact Transformers has had on all of us...

Thanks to news tip from 'Master Dex' (rheubank@comcast.net):  According to the Wikipedia page for the 2007 Transformers Movie, Dreamworks has greenlit 2 sequels on May 30th, 2007. Shia LeBeouf, Megan Fox, and Peter Cullen have all signed off for possible sequels but Michael Bay has not said he would direct leaving the door open.  This makes sequels far more likely as now Dreamworks is basically saying they can be done.

And this is the page where Wikipedia got the info from, this is the original source.

Cool, and, Op. Lime, sorry, old news. Still, having Cullen sign off, is gonna suck. Well, roll with it, I suppose.

If I get what you are thinking Side Swipe, I'd like to let you know that signing off means that Cullen and the others want to be in the sequels, so that means Peter Cullen will still voice Prime for any sequels.

The wiki page actually says they have signed on to reappear.. so maybe I just worded it wrong, lol.

Uhh... Dude not to be mean or anything but I've seen that background a buhmillion times over the past somethin' months, it's just been switched back and forth between this and the old one.

Hey BB, I think it was just a lead-in. Or maybe in wedding season he wanted to go with something old (background), something new (submit), something borrowed (other peoples' news) and something... well not blue (lime). Yeah, that's it.

Woulda' been nice to clarify off meant on.
Anyhoo, I just gotta say, maybe a cooler background would be the movie "eye" logo/background/thing.

Once this movie business is done with I'd like to see a pic of Unicron in planet mode trying to "eat" Cyberton.
