I think Chaos Bringer did see the site man, he was being sarcastic because he doesn't like Animated.
Starscream said,  - 2007-09-02 19:32:12
This site needs a chat room.
megatron said,  - 2007-09-02 19:45:05

Yes, I was being sarcastic. I'm just bitter about Animated because I am afraid that it could damage the franchise's reputation so soon after it became well respected again. I don't want this franchise to be seen as just for kids and nerds. I want it to be seen as cool, or at the very least, respectable by general audiences.
I hope you guys enjoy animated. I just hope that general audiences will too.
Master Dex said,  - 2007-09-03 01:51:45
Well Chaos, I wouldn't worry about Transformers being put in such a negative light. It's not like RiD and the Unicron Trilogy have upheld Transformers to the level of Beast Wars. I too grew up with BW by the way.

As far as general audiences go. From what I've observed, people who watched any Transformers and weren't actual fans (just watching for kicks) didn't even realize that Beast Wars was related to the original show. I've also seen people say they watched BW years back and didn't even know there was a TF show in the '80s.

Granted the movie will have raised "awareness" of Transformers, but I think no one understands it best like us fans, Sci-fi lovers (me), and what have you. (Matter of fact, I once read a copy of my former High School's paper a number of months ago that spoke of upcoming movie releases, the subtitle for the Transformers headline read: "Wait, what was Beast Wars then?")

Now, don't get me wrong Chaos, I'd love for everyone to see TF as being as cool as we see it, I just don't know if it is going to matter whether it looks like a kids show or not.
Knight wing said,  - 2007-09-03 09:05:32
I understand CBs point. The problem he has is growing up with Beast Wars. Beast Wars was fantastic! Objectivly speaking, it was bay far the best incarnation of TF ever. Here's the problem. We will very likely never get that level of story/charactor development agian. I wish we would. I just don't think we will.

In general, I've come to accept that BW was above and beyond other incarnations of TF series. If you use it as your measuring stick you'll ultmitly be disapointed. Your better off simply trying to objectivly look at the next version of TF as something all new from scratch and judging it by how entertaining it is with out comparing it to ohter TF series.

And we're back! I saw the Lego Blackout, and it makes me wonder if the company could actually make a Lego Transformers series.
humanerror said,  - 2007-09-03 11:31:50
Yeah i agree Jumpercliff (Oh and welcome back) it would be way cooler than the BTR line.
Chaos Bringer said,  - 2007-09-03 12:04:18
Why can't we get a show with a serious war between Autobots and Decepticons? Why can't the Decepticons just win some of the time? Why are the writers just leaving them out most of the time? Why replace tham with human supervillans? And why have a little human follow the Autobots around everywhere? Hasbro has heard, time and again, that the human sidekicks are a turn off. Are they doing it just to annoy us since they know it does?
Why is it that the kind of shows we grew up with can't get the attention of kids today? Were we so different?
Master Dex said,  - 2007-09-03 12:22:17
Actually, we were different...

Also look at it this way, Hasbro didn't write the story for the movie, so it was good. I think Beast Wars didn't have Hasbro written stories either, although I could be wrong. So maybe it is Hasbro to blame, I don't know.

Although I know what you mean Chaos, there has to be a human main character, although I personally don't want it to be a little kid. That's why I was ok with movie Sam, not just a little kid running around, and he did something.
humanerror said,  - 2007-09-03 13:09:17
Chaos, you say that Hasbro has learned time and time again. but i dont think all the humans in past shows have been that bad. Take Spike in G1 for instance, he was there so kids could associate with what was going on with the concept of dueling alien races (to give a human take on things). yes the kids in "Armada" were very annoying but that really wasnt Hasbro's doing. Besides im a big fan of Kicker from "Energon" that and he had a pretty kick a$$ toy too.

GEEZ, that Transformers Animated website is a FAN SITE, NOT OFFICIAL. It even says "fan site" on the bottom of the site!
humanerror said,  - 2007-09-03 16:28:34
To be fair Gnah it never was stated that it was official. But i will edit accordingly because you pose a good point.
megatron said,  - 2007-09-03 20:16:33
maybe its hasbros fault for not telling the people at cartoon network to leave the humans out of the picture .
Starscream said,  - 2007-09-04 16:06:37
Ya know, unicron.com is really boring now. NO ONE talks any more. So, Jumpercliff, Knightwing, Megatron, this is a good by from Ty/Starscream. Til all are one............ To tfw2005.com!
Jumpercliff said,  - 2007-09-04 17:54:38
Wait, wait, Starscream, don't go! We have plenty of gab to blab, so if the Lukis Bros. are seeing this, why don't they just put up a conversation section on the site? How many agree?
Cyberfuser said,  - 2007-09-04 18:07:24
I agree.
Megaprime said,  - 2007-09-04 18:09:46
Um, well, I suppose, so. I agree as well fellow unicron.com user. ^_^
Knight wing said,  - 2007-09-04 18:45:15
Perceptor has pointed out several times, there's a link to the offical unicron.com forum borads on our home page. I still don't undersand what exactly the complaint of not having a forum is, because "we" have one.
Megaprime said,  - 2007-09-04 18:58:20
Uh, well, Knight wing, I think Starscream meant a forum with no info to have to give, just a forum you go in, and chat. Thats most likely what he meant.
Knight wing said,  - 2007-09-04 20:02:09
That would be a different statement. I have no objection to that thought. As far as I know, the bros are running out of band width so that isn't likely to happen. I could be wrong.

If that's what you ment Starscream, I appoligize. Please in the future make complete statements. Especially in text form, it's hard to infer much of anything. Sorry.
Starscream said,  - 2007-09-04 20:24:24
Well, tell Lukis Bros to make a no info to give, no need to register forum. And I'll come back.
Brian said,  - 2007-09-05 08:22:03
News comments are for commenting about news (very loosely interpreted). The forum is for general discussion. Simple as that. Also, easy, no login posting necessitates easy, no login comment deleting. If a good comment is removed, fear not, we'll put it right back. However, comments about other comments being deleted are removed forever. Thanks!
dollarjoe said,  - 2007-09-05 18:05:53
terrific. But i'd like to see cartoon network put the original series on their parent channel, boomerang. Perhaps line it up with their other action shows
Chaos Bringer said,  - 2007-09-06 16:17:48
Hasbro won't let G1 be shown on Boomerang because they fear that kids will see it and want to buy toys of those characters, only to find that there aren't any.
