Character Page Update: Protoform Optimus Prime

Posted by:
Perceptor at 2007-09-05 9:07 pm   (site update)
Sure the toy has been out for months so why bother checking our latest character page?  Because it contains interesting insight into the nature of a protoform, written by Transformers super-scribe, Simon Furman.  Plus, other excerpts from the hard to find, Transformers: Movie Guide like concept art you may never have seen before!

Check out this all new character page for Protoform Optimus Prime now ready to view in the 2007 section.  (Sorry, not Powermaster! :)

Protoform Prime is awesome. The articulation is simply fantastic. Hopefully this character page will earn the figure some much needed respect.

Every body!!!!! I'm the guy who works for hasbro!!! I just saw papers in the future products desk! Some really chilling news has arrived! In 2010 a wave of transformers 2 movie toys will be released! Or less I wanna get fired, I'm only gonna give you guys a small list of them, and there is a lot. Deluxe Soundwave, voyager Grimlock, Leader Megatron 2, deluxe Jazz 2, voyager Skywarp, leader Shockwave, voyager Shockwave, voyager Starscream 2. Hope ya like it guys! THIS IS NOT A LIE!!!!!!!!

Hm, that's wierd, because my sources tell me that Grimlock will be "Ultimate" class, released in the summer of 2009.

(Of course, my sources, I'm guessing are the same as Megaprime's, are the "wishful thinking" voices inside my head... :)

"Or less I wanna get fired..."
"...there is a lot of them..."
?!?! Good writing skills for a Hasbro "employee" HA!

Perceptor seems to have a good sense of humor, and what do you mean, Ultimate Grimlock? I'm talking about the transformers 2 movie wave you non fan. And I spelled hasbro right, its just not capitalized. ^=^

Perceptor wasn't laughing at your noncapitalized hasbro. It was the bad sentace structure of someone with an apparent desk job. :) And while I have no sources, there's no reason Grimlock couldn't be Ultimate Class. After all, they did Bumblebee.
Megaprime said,  - 2007-09-06 18:58:54
Yes but ultimate Bumblebee is a collector hard to find figure, the leaders, and other smaller figures are the true good movie figures.
Knight wing said,  - 2007-09-06 19:37:18
I won't argue with you about that. I have no interest in a $80 Bumblebee, $50 maybe. I've even heard he's a great figure. He's just too expensive.

I like the Protoform Optimus page Perceptor! While proto-Prime is bizare looking next to the rest of my Primes, He is in fact a very good little toy.

Interesting news, Megaprime, and the Proto-Prime page does look good.

Hey Jumpercliff, how old are you, I need to ask you an important question. I'm 12.

It's very good. Now, back to Beast Wars.

Hey Megaprime, can you tell me where Unicron is? I think he by Uranus. I think You're making all this stuff up. If you were releasing company information for Hasbro, you should be fired!
Jumpercliff said,  - 2007-09-07 17:52:48
You're 12? You sounded a little older, Starscream. I'm 16.
Duckie said,  - 2007-09-07 18:23:45
Yeah.... I saw the Ultimate Bumblebee at Wal Mart (by the way, they're still pretty much out of everything here lately which is FANTASTIC!!! Star Wars toys never even left the shelves like this!!!!!!!) but didn't notice the price on it. I might get it, but I probably won't. Mostly because even though I got a raise at work, I'm now part time *shakes fist angrilly* and therefore less money to spend. Besides that.. I've not yet actually made myself buy one of those Anniversary Prime's that they still have on the shelves (which doesnt even have Peter Cullen's voice!!!), nor did I buy the very last Primus figure that they had the other day, despite having have wanted one for some time now.

I'm kind of trying to focus more on getting smaller figures if I get anything, or saving money because my job evidently doesn't love me so much anymore, and I need the money.

*sighs*

If you work for Hasbro, do you know if the encores will be released in American stores? Wal*Mart's website has them up for order but that doesn't mean they will be on store shelves. Just wondering.

Awesome page, as always. "My sources" tell me 2010 is too far away. They just finished the early 2008 stuff, so I'm sure they're working on late 2008/early 2009 stuff now. Even if this list were accurate (and real), It would still be in the early development and subject to considerable change. Oh, and taking twenty seconds to read over your post before you click "Add comment" can help with typos and grammar. If you know what to look for, that is.

There should be a final battle between Unicron and Primus.
Galvamegatron said,  - 2007-10-10 14:40:37
Or even have Prime's and Megatron's bodies merge to help Primus destroy Unicron
