Right First off Japanese retailer Maruzen toys has added a pre-order listing page for Both MP GRIMLOCK and MICKEY MOUSE which are at a much higher resolution allowing a clear view of the details of both to be seen.

It makes it easier to see that Grimlock has one molded fist and one that opens as the molded one holds his sword and lights it up. and also the range of joints in his little Dino-forlimbs. You can also see how the dino tail is transformed to inside his robot legs.

That his Drinks tray is supported by a tab that plugs into his dino-chest.
You can also see his Optional Crown, and how his dino-tail tip moves in dinosaur mode.

A greater degree of detail can also be seen on the Mickey Transformer.

Chinese Site AC toys has an extensive look at Universe Bruticus HERE as well as Henkei Ironhide HERE & of Animated BLURR

Amazon.co.jp has added a pre-order page for Henkei Ratchet - though the lack of Chrome and Non-G1 deco ocmbined with the use of The Hasbro Universe Prowl version of the Lightbar has made some think this is actually a picture of the Hasbro version that is currently in use on the site - you can judge for your self HERE

E-hobby has added some images of Forthcomming Japanese Henkei and other releases including : CYCLONUS (now lighter in color and with a chrome gun), HOUND & RAVAGE Now in darker green with yellow stripes, CHEETOR Now with shiny weapons and metallic painted details - he's also a bit darker yellow in color.

They also have some pages for some Encore toys : TRAILBREAKER (Now has blue eyes and some painted details & HOIST

TFW2005 has add a piece about the Animated McDonalds toys released in France recently Especially of note is the newly added Blitzwing toy THUS TFW2005 also have added an Update to their insider information about a Revenge of the Fallen Character in toy form HERE - don't click if you don't want to be spoiled.

Too bad MP Grimlock is about the same size MP Starscream.

I'm so getting that Bruticus Maximus.

I'm sure that's a Hasbro Ratchet testshot.

Henkei: Cyclonus is a big improvement, Hound & Jaguar look good, and they actually made Cheetas look kinda cool.

Wonder why we didn't get McBlitzwing?

Both DVD covers look disappointing.

I think I've seen that Art for Supermode Energon Prime on a Kids book or a Collected Comic before.

Masterpiece Grimlock looks great.

That E. Prime art was used on the cover for Volume 1 of the pack-in comic that came with all of the early Transformers Energon toys.

Since it's been used so much, I don't think it was the best choice for the DVD art.

And yes, Grimlock does look superb. Too bad he's so small (when he was a little taller than Prime in the cartoon).

Look on the bright side-with the Energon boxset, we're just THIS close to completing all the Transformers Animated series up to Animated Season 2. If only Disney would give up the RID series! (That, and every Marvel cartoon from 1978-1999.)

Grimlock looks great. Can't wait to get my handa on him.

I still don't see myself getting Mickey though. If anyone's interested, there are color pics of him at the Allspark web site.

Well, Jumpercliff, you could always import the UK or Australian RiD DVDs. But, you'd have to either play them on a multiregional DVD player, or change the region codes on your DVD player to region 0 (that is, if your player can have its codes changed).

Grimlock continues to look awesome, but I still think he's way too expensive (especially since he doesn't look to be as big as MP Prime). BTW, I remember the platter of drinks and the helmet with cable, but when did Grimlock ever wear a crown???
It's sad to me that whatever we get here in the States, Japan seems to one up us over there (with Alternators, they got die-cast Binaltech, their MP Prime came with the cardboards trailor, ect..). Now they get the painted and chromed Henkei figures...
As for Bruticus Maximus, doesn't anyone else think it's odd that Blast Off is a tank while Swindle is a Chopper? I know there's a total of three molds in this set, but at least give the characters molds somewhat related to what they originally are...

Grimlock wore a crown when he became leader of the Autobots in the old Marvel Transformers comic.

Saberblade, I want to AVOID getting Reigon 2 DVDs or players, in order to avoid costs. I plan on writing a letter to Disney that'll be SO logical and with well put arguments it'll stupefy them to the point that they'll return those shows to their rightful fandoms.

(I also plan on doing a retrojunk.com 2-part article on voice acting regulars in superhero cartoons.)

Well Overhaul, I can picture Blast Off as a tank. One could say that he uses his turret to "blast" his enemies. :P

Now that Disney is getting friendly with Takara, can they cough up R.I.D. now?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-11-09 12:37:26
I think they first need to get friendly with Hasbro too before that happens.

The way I see it, the day RiD comes to season boxed set DVDs in the U.S., is the same day that Power Rangers, Digimon, and all those Saban-owned shows that were shown on Fox Kids during the 90s-early 2000s come the boxed DVDs as well.

The Ratchet is definetely a different mold. I saw the Ironhide figure. The Mickey is HORRIBLE! I think that Supermode Optimus Prime is fron a 4 episode DVD set. I had the DVD set before. I think Grimlock would say this just like me (Grimlock:Me Grimlock think MP me look very hansome, especially with crown!)
