Well, I was really looking forward to "Decepticon Air," thinking we would see the return of a whole Starscream and his seekers, especially the female Starscream. Well, that didn't happen and I'm really bummed. Yes, the animation was a great as usual, but given the episode title...the episode left me wanting...expecting more. After all, they're only a few more episodes left!!? And what about some new toys...Arcee, Rodimus and the female Starscream...so far I've seen and heard nothing on if Hasbro will release any new TFA toys. On the bright side, it was good to see Swindle back in action...long overdue.

The episode title was parody of the movie "Con Air".

Lots of cameo appearances in this one. I spotted Rosanna, a white bot with Ratchet's/Ironhide's body form, Huffer, Mainframe, Warpath, a green bot with a red head in a Mr. Freeze "fishbowl" helmet (not Oil Slick), Beachcomber, and a rather feminine-looking Tracks.

Not to mention TWO Granduses that Sentinel and his captives were riding on through the streets.

CONEHEAD!!!! but really a good episode withe all the cameos at the end,the return of swindle stealing autobot tech, he hasent changed with megatron, screamer, and lugnut who may crash into skywarp and thundercracker and team charr,

hopefully the femscream may get picked up w/ the constructicons, soundwave and minions and black arachnia and wasp at the finale, but the femscream will probally take the autobot space bridge

>>"soundwave and minions"

Well, Laserbeak yeah, but Ratbat's dead.

To Saberblade- the green bot is cosmos.

this episode had so many cameos i screamed at the end when i saw tracks. And i thought swindle giving the clones helmets was funny. Did anyone notice swindle start talking about the quintisons and quintessa. When i saw blitzwing move, i thought he was gonna ask who they were because of that TRansformers:mosiac about blizwings faces having something to do with the quints. Great Episode

Did anyone catch the Die Hard reference when Optimus was crawling in the air ducts like Bruce Willis. Also the Mission Impossible ref when Optimus was hanging from the wires.
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-02 11:50:58
@Tran6421:
I figured it might be Cosmos, but the fishbowl helmet threw me off.

@Devastator:
Yeah I caught that, and the Superman II reference when the Bots are forced into the cell (where it was actually safe) and the 'Cons outside it got put on ice.
hot rod said,  - 2009-05-02 12:53:32
is it on youtube yet?
Sidewinder said,  - 2009-05-02 13:35:18
Yes, its on Youtube, check out Fanoftransformers page and pick it up there, its a great episode with a lot of inside/outside jokes and references. Though I have to question whether or not Swindle is color blind "Here are some upgrades so I can tell you two apart." One's white, one's gold...how is that hard?

But Sentinel as Magnus? Ooohh that won't turn out well.

I also found it interesting that Sentinel has a speical "Optimus, save me!" signal, and yet Optimus does not say a word when there is talk of "Sentinel Magnus".
Devastator said,  - 2009-05-02 13:39:35
I thought the same thing, how can he not tell them apart but they just said that so they could ref the head gear from the G1 jets

Sabr, yea i saw that too. I think there was another one but I dont remember now
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-02 13:47:56
Mission Impossible reference when Optimus comes down in cables.
hot rod said,  - 2009-05-02 14:24:33
how does safeguard make a tornado in space? theres no wind in space.if you look closely and keep on pausing and playing the episode the crowd that was celebrating includes Beachcomber, Glyph, Hubcap, Red Alert, Tracks, Huffer, Brawn, Hot Shot, Warpath , Cosmos, Mainframe, Autrooper, Rosanna and did anyone notice that the platform they were on was grandus's alt mode?
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-02 14:59:21
Yeah, and the second one was based on the Yusha redeco of Grandus known as the Dag-Base.
Perceptor said,  - 2009-05-02 15:02:20
YEAH BABY! Swindle's back. Hot damn, I love this show!

Huffer!
Cosmos!
Tracks!
Beachcomber!
They were all there on Cybertron! BO-Ya! Who was the White and black dude behind Mainframe? Rosana you say? Who the heck is that?

...Let's not worry about the space tornado. Afterall, none of us complained when Astrotrain had to "jettison some weight so he could make the return flight to Cybertron" in TFTM! :) It's all good! :)

But Sentinel Prime, Autobot Leader?! Primus help us all!

That was a fantastic episode!

>>"Who was the White and black dude behind Mainframe?"

That was an Autrooper.

Cool episode. I thought it was great how Swindle gave Dirge and Sunstorm heads to make them look more unique. Now they look more like the classic seekers.
Also, one of my favorite parts was at the end, when Lugnut was floating through space, and then Omega Supreme appeared in front of him and he slammed into the windshield:

Starscream: So...now we're picking up hitchhikers?

Megatron: *Hits Starscreams head away*
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-02 16:46:38
That was not Dirge. Dirge has never appeared in the show and likely won't at the rate things are currently going.

That was the Liar Clone, who resembles Ramjet.
luvtransformers said,  - 2009-05-02 17:09:03
I was wondering if the clone that resembles Ramjet might get a conehead
Darkton said,  - 2009-05-02 18:07:39
And yet another fanwanky episode. The return of Swindle, Ramjet and Sunstorms helmets, the large crowd of Autobots...wow.

Speaking of which, could somebody lend me a picture of the Autobot crowd? I need to do some identifyin'!
hot rod said,  - 2009-05-02 18:15:02
just keep on playing and pausing near that part u can have a full list of them at tfwiki.the list isBeachcomber, Glyph, Hubcap, Red Alert, Tracks, Huffer, Brawn, Hot Shot, Warpath , Cosmos, Mainframe, Autrooper, Rosanna
Jumpercliff said,  - 2009-05-02 19:01:24
That was a really good episode. It seems like for now, the big name guests the show has had have been Fred Willard, Weird Al, John Moschitta, Jr., Judd Nelson, and George Takei.
shockwave43 said,  - 2009-05-02 19:03:17
who the heck is "Grandus"
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-02 19:52:01
He's from the Japanese Transformers toyline called Battlestars: Return of Convoy. He was a rather large character and this version will be as well. For more info on him, go here:

The entire episode was just one big nod to this, that, and the other thing. Even the title was a nod to Con Air. I caught that from the beginning when we got the preview. I really hope Sentinel get his in the end. He is just so damned pompus.
Inferno said,  - 2009-05-03 10:53:10
Swindle also mentioned Nebulos, a nod to the Headmasters & Targetmasters planet.
Lawson said,  - 2009-05-03 11:08:13
I'm happy swindles back. I hope he'll be in the last ep. I hope Setinel prime is killed off in the last ep. Here's hoping the last 3 are grate ep's.

Man! I'm loving this! I can't wait for the inevitable cone-head upgrade kits by FansProject or some other third-party distributers!
I thought that we might see the return of Swindle, and about time he showed up. I was beginning to wonder if we'd ever hear Fred Willard's magnificant and persuasive vocal styles again. As for Lugnut finding Megatron, or vice-versa, I had a feeling that this was coming. It was nice to see Megatron send Starscream's head a-flying again.

Thanks, sarblade, was wondering who he was

PRIMUS HELP US ALL! SP is leader now, so we don't even need Decepticons anymore! HE'S ENOUGH PROBLEM!!!!!! Loved the episode, especiallly the twist ending. I thought OP was being radioed from earth when his Autobot sign was flashing.
