Warning, Major spoilers ahead in the comments as the show goes on! So, for those who haven't seen the episode, be warned!

I'm in awe; still processing all that we just saw...

I thought it was a phenomenal conclusion to an amazing series. Oh jeez, how I want there to be more... I need to go re-watch it a few more times...

How are we supposed to know why the heck there was a protoform in Sumdac's lab?

So much awesomeness! Yet, not enough answers.

Starscream and Prowl are DEAD!

...Well, we knew about Prowl dying a long LONG time ago, so there's not much of a surprise there.

When the Lugnut Supremes crash-landed on Dinobot Island, I was hoping we would see what would become of the Dinobots and the Constructicons. But, they were completely ignored in this episode.

Also, when Prowl and Jazz tried to reform the AllSpark, we saw the one keeping Starscream alive yanked out of his forehead, killing him. But, what about the ones keeping the Constructicons and Wreck-Gar alive? We never saw those.

By the way, I seem to recall a VERY old spoiler/rumor about a Decepticon(s) joining the Autobots at the end of the series. Upon hearing this, my first guess was obviously Blackarachnia. But later I guessed that it could be Scrapper and Mixmaster. But now that we've seen the finale, no one switched sides. I guess it was a rumor after all.

And no we've finally seen the moment When Legends Fall. If only there were a third part to this episode to let us see what will become of The Seeds of the Future.

And now I MUST say this:
"LET THIS MARK THE END OF THE CYBERTRONIAN WARS AS WE MARCH FORWARD TO A NEW AGE OF PEACE AND HAPPINESS!"

"'TIL ALL ARE ONE!!!"
hot rod said,  - 2009-05-23 09:36:09
AND ONE FOR ALL, and is there proof that there is a beast wars animated or is that just a rumour?
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-23 09:51:54
That's FAKE.

>>"AND ONE FOR ALL"

Huh? I said "'Till All Are One", not "All for one."

im sad the show ended the way it did. It left way too many openings in the series. Where was Blitzwing, Swindle, The dinobots, Constructicons, Ultra Magnus, and others. It seems to me at least, since Gen 1, the people who create the stories, and whatnot for the shows don't like to tie up the loose strings.
crazyfist said,  - 2009-05-23 12:49:17
that was a great episode. probably one of the best. Yeah i wish they did tie up those loose strings with ultra magnus, the dinobots, etc. but i must say what happened to prowl was such a shoker. i'm still choked up thinking about. the way he looked at jazz before he went off line...and how he just fell into his arms...man...my eyes are watering up as i type this. his character definitely got better as the show went on. but as for the ending..it was quick maybe they'll continue...let's hope so. i loved animated. probably was the best transformers series up there with beast wars. but i guess now we get to look forward to all things "REVENGE OF THE FALLEN" for the rest of the y ear...

How ironic...JAZZ carrying the body of a fallen comrade.
AS good as the episode was, i too feel that it wasnt enough. Theres still a lot of unanswered questions and there were a lot of characters left out. Im gonna miss this series.
dwinfenro said,  - 2009-05-23 13:51:10
I didn't think it was that good, it was too rushed!! It was more a season ending, not a series ending! I was hoping to see OP get promoted or something! SP didn't even have a speaking part and I figured that UM would show up! I think it was a disappointing end to an OK series!
Patrick said,  - 2009-05-23 14:30:17
I think they positioned it well for a follow-up series, this brings us closer to the G1 dynamic (Megatron even learns Optimus Prime's name!)

I'm holding out hope because any future series wouldn't be on Cartoon Network anyway but on the new Hasbro/Discovery channel. Hopefully the network will launch in 2010 with a TFA follow up. This would also explain why Hasbro and Cartoon Network were being so mysterious about the show's fate.

awesome finale, but a lot of loose ends.

and only 2 dead transformers, prowl, and star scream, and only starscream surprised me, blurr shocked me more than prowl, and i already have an idea for season 4 if is possible, but we will find out st botcon.

I will be angry with out more eps though

and also the allspark fragments gave sparks to wreck-gar, the clones, the constructicons, and the rest, and i think that was confirmed by wyatt.
dinobotsRULE said,  - 2009-05-23 16:09:02
Wait is there really going to be a beast wars animated. That would be perfect since what we saw at the end of Predicons Rising. Plus we already have Waspinator and Blackaracnia.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 16:13:53
I've gotta admit, I wasn't all that impressed. As great as seasons 1 & 2 were, season 3 just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Sari, probably the best human character of all time, was barely in the season at all. Prowl's "processor over matter" was incredibly annoying. I'm sorry, when he pretty much turned into Neo from the Matrix, that was the beginning of the downfall of his character. And what happened to Waspinator and Blackarachnia? I thought Waspinator "had plans"?
When Prowl and Jazz started sucking in the Allspark fragments, why didn't the Lugnut/Starscream Supremes get their fragments yanked? What about the Starscream clones and all of the other characters who are only alive due to fragments? And since when can Jazz do the processor over matter? He couldn't even do it in the previous episode!
And HOW did Megatron survive the explosion? Seriously.
And then it just ended. Nothing funny from Sentinel, no Ultra Magnus, nothing!
All I can say is, at least the action was good. I'm glad the show at least ended with a pretty strong fight. But I hope it is over. I also hope that they don't go into the idea of Beast Wars Animated. For one thing, one of the reasons BW was so great was because of the CGI, 2D animation would be such a step backwards for it. On top of that, I'd hate to see them do to BW what they did to Rattrap. Rattletrap was very disappointing in his one appearance. Rattrap was always small and a little cowardly, but he was always rough and tumble, as well ready to lay it all on the line.
I just hope that Animated end here and we can move on to whatever is next. Bring in the next continuity!
q said,  - 2009-05-23 17:29:38
jeez TriPredRavage calm down, and what are u talking about with what u r saying it makes no sense what u say about this season
for example:
1. most of the season revolved around sari so shewas in most of it
2. Prowl's "processor over matter" provided some of the first connection of cyber ninja training to prowl since season 1
3. all that stuff u said about "what abouts" like waspinator, blackarachnia, sentinal, ultra magnus, and the maximals will be covered in a new series which almost certainly will mesh beast wars aspects in the mix of transformers animated just like it all ready has meshed in aspects of other series and the movie that had wreck-gar
4. as for your questions i will answer them now
When Prowl and Jazz started sucking in the Allspark fragments, why didn't the Lugnut/Starscream Supremes get their fragments yanked?
the supremes are obviously much bigger, more powerful, and heavyer than starscream so he was not pulled
What about the Starscream clones and all of the other characters who are only alive due to fragments?
they were either in space or far enough away to not get pulled
And since when can Jazz do the processor over matter? He couldn't even do it in the previous episode!
obviously you forgot that prowl said he would teach jazz, they probably could not fit prowl teaching him in so they cut it and most likely thought viewers would be smart enough to realize he taught him. apparently through ur example they were wrong
And HOW did Megatron survive the explosion?
i am sure if megatron could barely survive a crash to earth from deep space he could survive that explosion with large but minor damages

i hope u could understand this all and stop being and enormous cry baby
Autobutt said,  - 2009-05-23 17:45:06
Alright lets all chill. No name calling. It is true, Prowl said that they did NOT collect all of the allspark fragments, but that dpesnt mean that the characters dependent on the fragments were in space. Not collecting enough fragments is the reason why Prowl sacrificed himself, but i still think that those characters should have been brought back for the last episode.

I will say this once.

THERE IS NO "BEAST WARS ANIMATED"!!!
Rodimus Prime's Biggest Fan said,  - 2009-05-23 17:56:17
I sure hope that there is a Transformers Animated: Beast Wars! How cool would that be? More of the ferocious, evil Waspinator, and maybe finding out about Rattletrap.

As for the episode, here's what I think.

1. Awesome battle scenes.
2. Optimus has AllSpark Matrix!!! COOL!
3. Prowl's death: Bummer.
4. Love the appearances of Hubcap, Dai Atlas, ect.
5. Sentinel's expression at the end: Gold!!!
6. Should've had Dinobots attack the Lugnut Supreme, or the Constructicons fixing it.
Scorpomike said,  - 2009-05-23 18:10:31
If there isn't going to be anymore Animated episodes, there should be some kind of a continuation in a comic somewhere. I'm not sure, I'm not one to follow comics. There was definitely a lot on unanswered questions at the end of this one. No one mentioned this one, did you see the look of disgust on Sentinel Primes face when they returned? It was a total look of jealousy! He could have just as well been a Decepticon.
Primal said,  - 2009-05-23 18:41:55
Also TriPredRavage, when Waspinator said he had plans, it was just a homage to the original Waspinator back in Beast Wars. And Rattletrap wasn't Rattrap! Why can't people get over that these aren't the same characters from before. Is Prime a great leader with a heart of gold? No. Is Prowl a logician? No. These are not the same characters from previous incarnations, why people can't accept that is beyond me.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 18:48:07
Q, I am calm. The fact is, I didn't like TF:A s3. That doesn't mean I'm riled up about it. But your answers don't make sense.
1. Sari appeared in Transwarped and then didn't appear again until after half of the remainder of the season had aired. She was only in 8 of 13 episodes. 3 of which were a movie, and 2 of which were hour long episodes. So really, she only appeared in one non-multipart episode. Thus, leaving 5 stand alone episodes completely Sari-less. That's pretty disappointing.
2. There was plenty of Cyber Ninja training stuff in season 2. Which was pretty much the entire point of Jazz in the beginning of the 2nd season, as well as the end of the 2nd season when he unlocks his stasis cuffs. That said, I didn't say I disliked the CNT stuff, I even liked the PoM when he unlocked the cuffs; it's when he starts making things float and pretty much became omnipotent that it became rediculous. Not to mention, that Prowl was absent, or at least sidelined from several episodes after he mastered the PoM as well.
3. There is no word on a new series, so everything you said here is speculatory. That said, the things I mentioned are in fact loose strings that have no resolution.
4. As far as we know, the size of the Omega Supreme clones has nothing to do with anything. They didn't supply an answer, so your answer is again speculation, and therefore isn't an answer at all.
Prowl and Jazz pulled fragments from all over the world, therefore, no matter where the clones and others were within the world wasn't too far out of reach.
Also, in the previous episode, Prowl isn't teaching Jazz PoM; instead, Jazz is helping Prowl complete his CNT.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 18:48:21
Finally, of course Megatron would survive the fall from space. His alternate mode is an alien space ship. Space ships go through atmosphere, it's what they do. The explosion on the other hand is from a Cybertronian bomb. A super-sized version of the same bomb that Starscream planted on Megatron in the series Premier "Transform and Roll Out". Seeing as that tiny bomb blew off Megatron's arm, and this one was not just a GIANT sized version, but the explosion was contained in a specific area, it makes no sense for Megatron to have survived.

So, I'm sorry, Q, that my opinion of Transformers: Animated is so upsetting to you, as you clearly find it very important, otherwise you wouldn't have found it nescessary to just attack/insult me as you did. The fact is, it's a cartoon, and by no means detrimental to life. So I don't let it get to me too much. Furhtermore, seeing as the creators have claimed that this was the ending, and that there is no word for a spin-off or anything, the loose ends are disappointing. And sadly, loose ends, when there is no sign of future continuation is bad story telling.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 18:52:05
Primal, BELIEVE ME, I understand that these characters aren't the previous incarnations. The fact is, however, that Rattletrap was an homage to Rattrap, and seeing as Rattletrap wasn't a character that was going to be developed, or grow over time, it was pretty sad to see such a great character from the past receive such a sad homage.
And the same goes for Waspinator being an homage, too. And I really liked Animated Waspinator. But the fact is, if a character says "I have plans", then he better have plans. Again, because the series ended, and there was no resolution to this, it's again poor storytelling.
Rodimus Prime's Biggest Fan said,  - 2009-05-23 19:10:28
Even if there is no word on a new show, it doesn't mean there won't BE one. You're (partially) right in what you said, TriPred, since they pulled the fragments from all over the world, it didn't matter the distance. However, if the Clones/Wreck-Gar/Constructicons had the SmallSparks sucked out of them, it would've showed something. Obviously, Prowl knew about Wreck-Gar, so he didn't want to kill him, perhaps. Or maybe there is a specific distance as to how far they can pull the fragments. However, maybe the Starscream clones were in space, as everyone is saying. The ninja-bots only gathered the fragments on earth. And obviously, yes, Rattletrap isn't Rattrap. But wouldn't a BWA show be cool? Rattletrap would be sent to earth by Optimus, who ordered him to find Waspy/Blackarachnia.
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-23 19:18:08
Skywarp and Thundercracker were in space and Sunstorm and the Liar clone were locked up on Cybertron. That is not "maybe why", that IS why their fragments weren't taken.

And how do we know the two ninja-bots were gathering fragments on a global scale?
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 19:21:08
Here's the thing, I have nothing against the idea of the clones in space being out of range. That's fine, and makes sense, I didn't say it didn't, but as far as the other clones, the Constructicons, and Wreck-Gar, all we have is speculation as to why and why not. We don't know why their fragments weren't taken, and we probably never will.
As far as there being a new show, I'm positive there will be a new show. Transformers is pretty much nothing without its show to run along side the toyline. I never said there won't be another show, I just said there isn't one yet.
And I am of the strong opinion that Beast Wars Animated would be awful. Like I said before, one of the biggest selling points of BW was the 3D animation. Therefore, going to 2D, and more specifically to the very stylized form of TFA would be a step backwards. And that's not to say that I didn't like TFA's art style, on the contrary! I very much enjoyed it. But it doesn't hold a candle to 3D.
Now, if they were to make a new series with 3D like BW or Beast Machines (not like Energon or Cybertron, and hopefully not anything like Spider-Man the New Animated Series from MTV or Iron Man: Armored Adventures), then I'd be more willing to see a new take on Beast Wars. And Imagine it! A new series in 3D would be amazing because 3D is so much better now-a-days! A show could look even better than both BW and BM!
But the fact is, Beast Wars worked, and still is one of the best, if not THE best, Transformers series. The reason that TFA was so great is because G1 was good, but was very campy and convoluted, so there was a lot of freedom to be had to redo it and do it better. That's why I'd rather see new continuities, that way, they don't infringe on what was done in the previous series, but also they have the liberties to be taken to make something new and exciting.

Not really the ending I was expecting. There are still sooooooooooooooo many things that are left unfinished. There definatly needs to be a 4th and maybe even a 5th season. Because if that's it, then I am very disappointed. For what it was though, it was a very good episode. Basically they tried too hard to end a series that was not ready to end. They should at least do a small movie to tie up the rest of the loose ends.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 19:27:08
Technically speaking, Sabr, we don't know if that's why their fragments weren't picked up. It wasn't said, and it wasn't shown. Actually, for all we know, all of the clones and everyone else's fragments could have been picked up and they just didn't show it.
And the reason we can believe that he was picking them up on a global scale is because Prowl said in the previous episode that the Allspark is scattered all around them on Earth, litterally.

Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-23 19:49:52
Well, when we saw where all the fragments were coming from, none of them were coming from space.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 19:54:08
That's true, but it doesn't mean that they showed all of the fragments coming together. It sure seemed like we didn't see a whole heck of a lot of fragments to produce a pretty good sized Allspark during that scene. Personally, I'd believe that they didn't show where all of the fragments were specifically coming from for time reasons. The episode was pretty rushed after all. But, again, we still don't know, because it wasn't explained in the episode.
5g said,  - 2009-05-23 20:18:45
not to start any thing, but wasn't it confirmed that the spark fragments didnt have the same effect as it did on screamer, as in it gave them all sparks (no pun intended) while screamer was immortal

unrelated what if for a season 4 episode plot, if there is one, a couple of new autobot recruits, ones who dont know any better are tricked by shockwave, in longarm guise, into lettin him out to gather scattered decepticon troops to break out captured decepticons
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-23 20:23:20

All I can say is season 3 leaves me wanting a few more waves of animated figs (arcee, omega, decepticon strike team members, on and on to upgraded sari) This has been my favorite of all the TF shows beating out G1 by a slight margin I hope we get figures of nearly all the TFs in it and maybe a few humans too. Like put out a voyager pack of human figures including upgraded sari, ths SUV members, and isaac sumdac. I'd probably buy them all even the repaints, now that it has surpassed G1 for me it will probably be my favorite show ever, can't wait for the season 3 DVD pack!

It would have been nice to see the rest of the allspark get reunited and back in its shell. This was a good cartoon but the end had a lot of loose strings. It's a disapointment but we'll all get over it soon. The next big thing will be ROTF and I can't wait! It'll be interesting what will be the next cartoon series. I think something that doesn't have a lot of Earth involvement would be great. I'd like to see more of Cybertron and Quintessa.
hot rod said,  - 2009-05-24 03:26:12
great episode, too bad the series ended so soon, they wasted so much episodes on human villans. how the heck did megatron survive the explosion? lots of cameo's at the end
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-24 09:57:38
Thank you, Q. Sadly, common sense provides no answer in these situations, though, as there are any number of common sense answers.
As far as Megatron goes, he fell to Earth as a head and a body. They seperated as he fell. But that said, it still doesn't explain how he survived the explosion.
cyberwuss said,  - 2009-05-24 12:04:46
If you remember he survived but was sort of knocked out. A transformers spark may be the power to its body but individual pieces may survive but just be in a knocked out condition because when sumdac found megatron's head it wasn't like it was talking or anything. When it finally did come back it was because sumdac had it attached to a power source. That being said the only practical powersource for them is still a spark. So maybe they could bring prowl or starscream back attached to some machine but they would have to get new sparks to move around freely.
ZhaneX said,  - 2009-05-24 12:14:31
Y'know, I was kinda disappointed at the ending. With how Starscream and Prowl died like they did.
But the way it ended, to me it leaves room for more. I think it'd be great if they made a Sequel series, with something like Optimus now in a high-ranking spot in the elite guard along with the crew of Omega Supreme. And then Megatron escapes or something. Still, right now there's one thing I thought was cool. The new Matrix container Optimus has at the end.
Anyway, I'm gonna keep hoping, that maybe, just maybe, they'll make a second series of Transformers Animated.
JAB said,  - 2009-05-24 12:41:52
I really liked they episode. I have no reason to watch the show anymore though, I only watched to see Prowl, the absolute best character of them all. The best parts of the episode were Prowl giving his spark and at the end you can see Optimus wearing the Matrix of Leadership.
Primal said,  - 2009-05-24 13:59:59
So just because he has plans he has to come back? If you didn't notice, Waspinator was left in pieces so even if he did have plans he probably wouldn't go far with them.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-24 14:41:37
Just because he was in pieces means nothing. Starscream was in pieces in this last episode and he litereally pulled himself back together.
The fact is, it is another loose ending that should have been tied up. Regardless of if it was an homage or not, it left another open ending with no future in sight. So yes, because he had plans, he sould have came back.

Hi all,

First-time poster to this site, although I peruse it quite often.

In regards to "End Game" I agree with many of the fans' reactions- it was fairly good, but left a lot of questions unanswered. A lot of story lines could have been tied up a little better- other ones that come to mind- who will end up being the Magnus on Cybertron- Sentinel or Optimus, what is the final fate of all the 'bots still on Earth (dinobots, constructicons, etc.) with Optimus and his crew on Cybertron, etc. I too think it should have taken at least 3-4 episodes to properly close things out. Here's hoping the venture with Discovery allows this series to continue on- I think it's been very well received...

Anyways, on a separate note, have you done any repaints or kitbashes to existing figures? If so, what kind of paint(s) do you recommend using? (trying to create my own animated ramjet, thundercracker, and "she-starscream" seekers).

Thanks

@TPR:
I think the thing with Screamer's head cannon had something to do with the AllSpark fragment in his forehead. In a manner similar to how it upgraded the original Soundwave toy Sari owned into a full-fledged Super Robot Lifeform with newly-created weapons, that fragment upgraded/created that mouth cannon in Starscream's head.

So, that means that it was another thing left unexplained in the series end then? Great...

Welcome aboard, Cyclonus72! We have a handy-dandy section to the left on the main page called "Alterations Blog", where you can see a bunch of customs as well as a "How to" provided by Shinobitron. Hopefully, that'll give you some insights into your desired customs!
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-24 18:09:12
Oh crud! I thought of something that makes Sari's origin even MORE confusing.

When we find out what became of the protoforms Lockdown stole, we learn that they were placed on Megatron's warship. If Sari's protoform was one of these, something doesn't make sense about this.

Sari's protoform was found in Sumdac's lab some time during the 50-year timespan following the Autobots' crash on Earth and prior to their awakening on Earth.

In the ending of "Transform and Roll Out, Part 2" (which takes place after the Autobots' awakening), we see Starscream on the ruined warship, still floating in space, having not crashed on Earth's moon yet.

If her protoform came from the warship, how would it have gotten in Sumdac's lab (on Earth) if the warship had not yet reached the vicinity of Earth until after Sari was already at age 8?
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-24 18:31:39
And here I was thinking that Sari's protoform showing up in Sumdac's lab was a already lose enough of an end, but leave it to you Sabr to see just how untied the end as, lol.

I do think that it was one of the better epsiodes. Although there were soooo many unanswered questions. I do think that they should have done more with the background characters (Wreck-Gar, The Constructicons, Blackarachnia, etc)And we never found out what the femme Starscream's name was. I do think there were just a couple of mistakes there. But other than that the rest of the series was AWESOME!

But, what is next for Transformers???? Whatever it is, I hope it comes soooonnn!!!

And now, my favorite quote from the whole Transformers Universe...

"Conquest is made by the ashes of one's enemies."

I love you, Starscream and always willll!!!!

And the answer is... Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Coming to theaters June 24, 2009.

Then comes the thing with Discovery channel.

What am I saying? Of course he won't! He's just doing this to try to annoy us. Well, let's all ignore him and his lies so his plan to bug us won't work. And if he doesn't quit and continues to spam this topic with his lies, we know what to do. ;)

Pretty good from what I saw. Not the best, but still good. Did not see Prowl or Starscream coming, probably because this is a cartoon show on CN.

Still, a lot of questions remain unanswered. Where's Team Charr, and what was the point of including them if they hardly appear? And furthermore, is there a part of Sari's story we still don't know about.

Oh well. In it's defense, leaving loose ends allows for a good hook if it's renewed.

This episode was incredible and tied up the major plot points beautifully. Sure there were other subplot points left unanswered which leaves room for a continuation of the series, should they decide to do so, but the major plot points were handled rather well.

As for Starscream getting his Allspark fragment pulled and not the Constructicons', Wreckgar's, and the few other clones', Starcream was dead already. His Allspark fragment brought him BACK to life. As shown in the beginning of Season two, he had no spark within his Spark chamber. He was walking dead. Thus, when his Allspark fragment was removed, he died immediately. The others, though, were given full life by the Allspark. They had Sparks. The clones had their Allspark fragments placed in their Spark chambers to create sparks. The Constructicons and Wreckgar too had Sparks. They weren't "undead" like Starscream. Thus, even if their Allspark fragments did get pulled, it wouldn't kill them because they had Sparks. Starscream didn't.
Sidewinder said,  - 2009-05-25 22:08:50
I know I'm late to the party, but I did have a theroy as to why Starscream's spark fragment was so easily pulled and not Wreck-Gars, the decepticon supremes, or the Constructicons. Look how his was implanted in him. Its in a crack in his forehead, open for all the world to see. Everyone else has theirs secured internally. I think his was so easily pulled out because it was so near the surface.
Scorpomike said,  - 2009-05-25 23:58:48
Good point Tramp, I thought of it that way but I didn't know how to word it.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-26 00:17:09
Tramp, it was never shown, nor proven that the fragments gave those characters sparks. It is true that the clones had their fragments put in their chests (or at least Skywarp's was shown to have been, so it stands to reason that the others' were as well), but that supports no evidence that the clones, Constructicons, or Wreck-Gar had sparks. As it stands, the only characters to actually get sparks who didn't initially have them remains to be the Dinobots. That is, sadly, just the way it is.
Tramp said,  - 2009-05-26 01:52:53
Yes, they did have sparks. What made Starscream himself different is that it was clearly shown that he alone DIDN'T have one. That is what made him unique. And it was DELIBERATELY and EXPLICITLY shown that he lacked a Spark His Spark chamber was completely empty. This was done for a reason. The Allspark Fragment in his head was the only thing keeping him alive. Wreckgar, the clones, the Dinobots, the Constructicons, were all brought to LIFE through the power of the Allspark, either through Sari's key, which was charged with Allspark energy, or through shards which formed the basis for their sparks. We never actually saw ANY of their Sparks directly. They were all brought to life by the Allspark though. They were all machines given Sparks, given life, by the Allspark. Starscream though, was a DEAD Decepticon reanimated by the power of an Allspark fragment without a spark. His spark chamber was EMPTY. The Allspark fragment in his forehead was the only thing keeping him on line. He wasn't really alive. He was undead. That is the key difference.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-26 09:29:16
You are right that Starscream's chest was empty and that the clones weren't. However, that doesn't mean they had sparks. We saw Starscream put the Allspark fragment in Skywarp's chest. We see it glow, but we never see a spark form. Similarly, Wreck-Gar and the Constructicons emit Allspark energy because they were created through the power of the Allspark fragments as well. At no point were they ever shown to have sparks, get sparks, said they have sparks, or anything of the sort. Starscream being dead and then brought back to life isn't a valid argument. Technically, all of these characters were like that. Wreck-Gar and the Constructicons came from a pile of garbage and vehicles; therefore they were just like Starscream: they weren't alive, and then they were brought to life. Starscream being brought BACK to life isn't an answer, it's speculation. The fact is, it was left unexplained, it's easier to just accept it and move on than try and explain it through claims that we'll never know are right or not.

And technically, it wasn't just Sari's key that gave the Dinobots their sparks. As they said in the show, it was something to do with the EMP that Bumblebee and Ratchet used along with Sari's key that did it. Technically speaking, we don't even know if Soundwave has a spark, as he was only upgraded through Sari's key until he had the capacity for independent thought and then started obeying Megatron. He, like the others, is at no point confirmed to have a spark either.
Tramp said,  - 2009-05-26 13:37:16
Wrong Tripred. They did have Sparks. When the Constructicons swear fealty to Megatron, they state that they will devote their "SPARKS" to the Decepticon cause. All of the Earthbound Transformers were created through the power of the Allspark. Starscream being brought BACK to life was an homage to G1 with his being "immortal". He was dead. The others were not dead transformers reanimated. They were newly born beings. The clones were born from protoforms, the Dinobots, Wreckgar, and the Constructicons born from Earth machines. Wreckgar and the others were not. None of them were previously dead bots whose spark had been extinguished. Starscream specifically had lost his Spark. It had been extinguished. He was terminated and then brought back through the power of an Allspark fragment, but specifically did not have a Spark of his own anymore. That is a key difference, and a point that was explicitly established in Season two. ALL transformers, those from Cybertron, those created on Earth from the Allspark energy from Sari's key—like Soundwave and the Dinobots— and those NEWLY CREATED from the Allspark fragments, had sparks. ONLY Starscream, whose Spark had been extinguised, had none.

As for the Dinobots, it was indeed the Allspark energy from Sari's key that gave them life. And yes, Soundwave does have a Spark.

How often do we swear on things like our souls? We can swear on our souls, but that doesn't prove that our souls exist. So, them devoting their sparks doesn't exactly prove that they had them. That said, I can accept this as possible evidence that at LEAST Mix Master and Scapper have sparks. But that in NO WAY proves that the clones, Wreck-Gar, Dirt Boss, or Soundwave have Sparks. They said it in the show that it was the EMP along with Sari's key that gave the Dinobots sparks. They never said that about Soundwave. As far as we know, they don't have sparks.

And I don't get what the big deal is. All I'm saying is that it was a loose end in the series. It in no way affects my opinion of the show, nor should my opinion effect yours. The fact is, I just didn't like season 3 because there ARE so many unanswered questions. I still liked the show.
Tramp said,  - 2009-05-26 17:37:55
Yes, they do. Starscream was the ONLY Transformer who is explicitly shown and stated to not have a Spark and that is because his was EXTINGUISHED. The writers went out of their way to establish that fact. There is no loose end with the clones, Constructicons, Wreckgar, Soundwave, etc. They had Sparks. As for the Dinobots, the EMP did not have anything to do with the Dinobots getting Sparks. That blast was just the carrier of the Allspark energy. It was the Allspark energy which gave the Dinobots Sparks. If you watch the Episode where Soundwave is introduced, Bulkhead specifically lists off all of the mishaps resulting from Sari's over-using the key, including the Dinobots.

Here is the thing you're forgetting TriPred, The Allspark specifically has the power to grant Sparks, and thus bring life to previously lifeless machines. Sari's key was charged with the Power of the Allspark, and thus had the power to grant Sparks. That is what the Allspark power of the key and the Allspark fragments did with the Dinobots, Soundwave, the clones, the Constructicons, Wreckgar, etc. The power of the Allspark from Sari's key, or from fragments of the Allspark itself gave them all Sparks. Starscream, however, did not gain a new Spark because he had already had one previously, and it had been extinguished. He was dead and then resurrected. And he was the only one explicitly shown to lack a Spark. He was an aberration.
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-26 19:06:52
Tramp, will you stop repeating yourself about Starscream not having a spark. THAT we can all agree about. Same goes for the Dinobots having sparks.

It's the bit about the clones, the C-cons, and Wreck-Gar that is the conflict. Nearly everything you've said about them getting sparks from the fragments has been speculation, not proof, SPECULATION. There has never, I repeat, NEVER been any true confirmation shown that they have sparks.

What you say about the AllSpark granting sparks, is partially true. It grants LIFE, not necessarily sparks, but life still.

One thing to consider about Starscream vs. the others is that, despite Starscream being dead and then brought back from the dead, there was one thing he had in common when he was dead with the others prior to their existence. Both his corpse and the garbage/vehicle were LIFELESS. While "dead" does equal "lifeless", "lifeless" does not always equal "dead". It simply means to be without life. Being dead refers to being without life AFTER having once lived. But "lifeless" could mean not being alive EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER living.

Long story short, the AllSpark grants "life" to the "lifeless".

Also, when they swore their sparks to loyalty, they were just quoting Megatron and didn't fully understand what they were saying, as long as there was free oil in it for them.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-26 19:39:55
Thank you, Sabr. That's what I've been saying all along! The other thing to consider is that the Allspark DID revitalize a spark after it had been extinguished: Optimus Prime's. Therefore, realistically, the argument that Starscream didn't get a spark again because his had been extinguished is really an empty argument anyway.
Tramp said,  - 2009-05-26 20:49:17
Saberblade, The Spark IS their Life Force. The Spark is what gives a Transformer life. It is the soul of a Transformer, the life energy. The Allspark grants the life force, the Spark to a Transformer. Starscream wasn't simply lifeless, he was DEAD, and dead for quite some time before being reanimated by that Allspark fragment; several days at least, if not weeks. Optimus was offline for less than a MINUTE. His Spark had not been completely extinguished. It's the difference between someone whose heart stops and is resuscitated through a defibrilator or CPR to bring him back, and someone who's dead and buried for days, suddenly rising from the grave. It's a huge difference.

Wreckgar, the Constructicons, the clones, were all newly born beings, not reanimated dead. That is a key difference too. The Allspark gave them life, it gave them the life force, the Spark. Starscream didn't. He was completely utterly dead, and resurrected specifically without a Spark. Thus, unless specifically, and explicitly shown or stated otherwise, They ALL had Sparks. Only Starscream did not, and that was specifically established.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-26 21:00:54
Tramp, I am sorry, but you are seriously just speculating all of this. Yeah, the Spark is life to a Transformer, but in the cases of the clones and everyone else, it was as if they had a pacemaker or something. As far as the show confirmed, and therefore as far as we know, they didn't have sparks. And there is no difference between Optimus and Starscream's extinguished sparks. A spark isn't like a heart, in that a heart is a muscle. A spark is electricity. When the spark was extinguished, there was nothing leftover, unlike a stopped heart, it was gone. The Allspark made a NEW spark for Optimus. It didn't make one for Starscream, and as far as we know, it didn't make one for the clones or anyone else. And a fesible, yet SPECULATIVE argument for this is that because they only fragments, it couldn't produce sparks. But, like I said, that's SPECULATIVE. Just like everything you have said.

Sabrblade said,  - 2009-05-26 22:24:40
I think there may be a difference between that fact that Prime and the Dinobots were revived/born through the AllSpark energy; and the fact fact that Screamer, the clones, the C-cons, and Wreck-Gar were revived/born through the AllSpark fragments.

From what I could tell (and this also might be speculation on my part), direct exposure to the energy itself can restore a spark that went offline (don't know about "extinguished") or actually grant a spark. But a physical fragment that houses the energy (shielding it from direct exposure) could act as a substitute for a real spark.

The AllSpark energy could be life energy which would be spark energy, which could restore an offline spark and/or grant a spark. But a fragment, the physical object that contains the spark energy, could replace a spark without having to actually BE a spark. Course, this is just my theory.

This is a fun discussion.

lol. I don't know why, but that made me laugh. I think it may be because I was attacked for, what I assume was, not favoring the third season and actually being able to support why I didn't like it. I wasn't trying to convince anyone that it was bad, in fact I'm glad that so many people liked it, I just was explaining why I didn't like it personally. I wasn't really prepared for all the backlash.

As for now, I believe we should be focusing more on ROTF than Animated, it's said and done. Though those are some interesting points guys. To me, it's all fan-fic material until it's proven otherwise. Now, with Animated finally out of the way and no longer blocking my view, I can fully grasp the true concept of ROTF, without having Animated in mind.

Tramp said,  - 2009-05-27 12:19:54
TriPred, first off, the Spark isn't electricity. It is a form of energy, but it is not electricity. The Spark is life energy, not electricity. And, the way the characters in TFA talked about it, the Spark is their heart (as well as the soul). Ratchet told Sari he needed to perform "Open Spark surgery" on Omega Supreme. Optimus told Sari that family was a matter of the Spark, the Heart. So yes, you can revive a Spark if the individual is "dead" for a short period. That's what happened to Optimus. The clones, Constructicons, Wreckgar, were not like Starscream. Starscram was unique. He was dead for a long time, and brought back specifically without a Spark, with only the Allspark fragment keeping him on line. And, it effectively made him immortal and indestructible. The others were new creations. The Clones were born from protoforms. The Allspark fragments that brought these other characters to life, formed the basis of their Sparks. They intitated the creation of their Sparks. That is the power of the AllSpark. Starscrem was another matter and was unique.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2009-05-27 12:48:29
We don't know that, Tramp. As far as we have it, we have no reason to support any idea why Starscream didn't form a new spark. All we know is that he didn't. The fact is, however, than when Optimus was dead, his spark was gone. Then the Allspark revived him and he had a new one. What type of energy a spark is made of is irrelivent. And of course they would say things like "open spark surgery" or a "matter of the spark" because that is the TF equivalent. But, we by no means have any evidence to support how long after being offline a spark can be revived.

As far as the clones, constructicons, and Wreck-Gar as concerned, all we know is that the fragments gave them life, but we do not know that it gave them sparks. The fragments very well could have acted as supplementary sparks, just as it did with Starscream. There is still no evidence to support the theory that these characters had sparks.

Here's my ending:
Optimus had destroyed Megatron. Suddenly, the decepticon Blitswing swooped overhead! from several rooftops the starscream clones appeard. Then, blackarachna and Waspinator jumped down. Wreck gar had suddenly jumped out, followed by the Dinobots. All warriors fought. "For our leader!" the decepticons cried. The constructicons used that all spark rock to make more vehicles turn into constructicons. Then, they form into Devastator. Then, Shockwave jumps down. At this point, the decepticons are weak, but Omega Supreme jumps out, fighting Blackout. Soundwave is fighting Sentinel Prime, but suddenly, a very fast battle cry is heard. It is Blurr, with a new body. Meanwhile, Cliffjumper and Perceptor have created a new body for Ultra Magnus. He recovers. The elite Guard ship turns into Superion. Meanwhile, Lockdown is fighting ratchet, Jazz v.S. Oil Slick, and Bulkhead V.S. strika. Bumblebee and Sari is fighting Cyclonus. Optimus fused with U. Magus, who has arrived. Then, J.Fire and J. Storm fuse with them. ptimus Prime becomes Godforce Prime. Prime battles Shockwave. S. Wave is defeated. However, the all spark erases his memory and he somehow becomes Longarm. Arcee is back to full strength and duels Swindle. The decepticons are defeated except for Blackout, Strika, and Soundwave, and Devastator. All the Autobots must battle Blackout. Meanwhile, Soundwave is in command, and his guitars are destroyed. strika is destroyed, and soundwave is melted. Devastator falls. In the end, Blackout is destroyed by teamwork of Optimus. and Sentinel. Blackarachnia is turned back. At the end, the human villains are all in jail. All the decepticons are sucked into Unicron. However, Megatron escapes. Then, Unicron transforms and battles Primus, who is Cybertron-turned. Metroplex transformes and there is a final battle. Unicron and Megatron is destroyed.
The End. Like it???
