Fansproject Warbot Defender (G1 Springer)!

Posted by:

Known for their Transfomers upgrade kits, particularly the City Commander trailer/armor set, third-party company Fansproject has done it again with their latest release. This time, however, it's not merely add-on parts for an existing figure, but a completely new figure entirely: Warbot Denfender.

This figure is (obviously) an updated version of G1 Springer and includes all three of his original modes: robot, car, and helicoptor. Images of what appears to be the final product have surfaced at both Big Bad Toy Store and TFSource's Facebook page. The BBTS images can be viewed here, and the TFSource ones here.

If the price goes down, it's as good as mine.

I'll wait for some reviews on the piece before I commit to buy it I think.

Yeah I really like what fanproject puts out. The only thing is its too expensive. I mean if you want to waste your money on a non hasbro or takara "transforming robot" and not a real authentic Transformer then by all means. Not to knock the unicron.com stuff.

@Sabrblade
Your first link did not go straight to the warbot defender.

Megatron, I am going to say this as politely as I can. I would appreciate it if you would kindly stop pointing out nonexistent problems in my posts.

What I do with the hyperlinks is intentional and not by accident.

I have been with Unicron.com for at least three years and am well aware of how to post news and links to sources.

So, again, I ask that you please stop nitpicking at how I post news, as I have been doing it like this for the past three years without any complaints until now.

The reason I do it this way is because this is how I learned how to do it from the people who came before me. I observed how they did it (and still do it), and have continued to do it this way ever since.

So, I want you to know that I am perfectly capable at posting both news and links, and do not need any pointers. Please kindly stop. Thank you.

Wait, someone's actually trying to criticize Sabr? As in the guy who posts entire essays as news posts? The same guy who's love for this site borders on the psychotic? If anything, you should be criticizing ME for not being enough like Sabr! That's like criticizing Derrick Wyatt for not making Cosmos a satellite, yet it's obvious how much he cares for the franchise, it just doesn't work.

Woah, DocWho. I dunno whether to be flattered or... I dunno what. XD

"The same guy who's love for this site borders on the psychotic?"

O_O

I... I guess that's one way to put it (in an extreme sort of way). ^_^'
This thing looks awesome. If things go right, it's gonna be my first FP toy. ... I know. I'm probably the only guy on this site who doesn't own the City Commander set.

So if I'm gonna be buying that, the Warbot Defender, the two Crossfire 2 sets, and Energon Blackout so I can use them properly, AND still keeping on top of the new ROTF figures... (hoo) I've got a lot of saving to do.
WB-001? Does that mean they're making Sandstorm and Broadside too? I know Broadside makes no sense but aesthetically I love both those designs! I would love to have a complete Autobot Triple Changer collection!

*Realizes everyone else hates Broadside anyway*

Okay, but at least make Sandstorm. Please, FP? And maybe a third Crossfire set for the Constructicons? Please?
Actually, the Crossfire 2 sets are so awesome-looking, Crossfire 3 is as good as confirmed.
