Unicron.com exclusive!  We managed to squeeze in one more trip to see the final days of filming in the Motor City -Detroit, Michigan.  Starting with 3 galleries (including this shot, of the happiest 5-year old in the history of the universe!)  as well as our our series of video links...

GALLERY 1:  Not much remained from the day of filming at Michigan Central Station (the day before).  Remnants of Bay-hem!  BTW, that truck with "Hog's Breath" logo is *not* a Transformer!

GALLERY 2: We returned to the Packard Plant, where film security told us they had completed filming at this location and were beginning tear down.  Still some great sites to be seen including a second Optimus Prime truck --with battle damage paint, the train-wreck set, the armored truck view from the front, big black Decepticon Troopers in the form of Chevy Suburbans... NEST vehicles and more...

GALLERY 3:  The downtown Detroit Set include Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington Whitely on the crashed ship set, up close with Ironhide, (do you know what his rear license plate says?) and Bumblebee... and more!

Now, on to the videos!  Pretty cool, if we do say so ourselves!

WARNING:  ****minor spoilers ahead****

HERE  we watched a scene where a crowd of Humans is gunned down by an unknown Decepticon

HERE a second video of another take of the same scene being filmed, this time a little more close-up.

HERE: The crashed ship set of Transformers 3 in downtown Detroit.  Look closely, you can see Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whitely

HERE: The crashed ship set, a little more close-up of Shia LaBeouf & Rosie Huntington Whitely

HERE: Check out the train wreck set of Transformers 3.

HERE:  Optimus Prime, at dusk after a full day of filming rolling out!.  With his new blue running lights and trailer. Spectacular!

Great pix! Great vid! Nice work.

Yeah, I have to imagine that's about as happy as a kid can be right there, an arms reach distance from the *real* Bumblebee and Optimus.

Thanks Doc! Yeah, I think I ought to win some Dad of the Decade award for facilitating that much fun! We both had a blast. Don't know who was more excited about it all!

Cly-
Actually, there were a couple of security dudes at the 'entrance of the set.' They did their best to be not helpful... "Sorry we can't let you on the set. Can't say where they are filming tonight. etc..." I said, hey, this railroad track that seems to run behind the set, That's public property, we can go walk around down that right? "Sure," they said. So we did. What they must not have known is that the fence that existed on the street side, abruptly ended right next to where the train wreck set was set up. So, we just walked up, took a look around and got to shoot some pretty sweet shots!

What fun. Seeing Shia and Rosie, climb out of the ship-thingy... Even though we couldn't hear what they were saying, was very cool. Seeing all the Autobots roll through the town... Seeing people acting through getting gunned down by Decepticon fire...

...and checking it all out with my son, who's as excited (brianwashed?) about it all as I was. Great memories I'll never forget.
