The War for Cybertron figures look much nicer with that metallic paintscheme. A lot closer to the game. Of course, most of them are simply metallic versions of the Generations figures.

I kind of like Universe Optimus better than I do United Optimus. The metallic paintscheme just doesn't do it for me.

Same goes for Bumblebee.

If you've seen Straxus' colors on the TF-Wiki, then you know my goal for that one. The Generations version of Straxus looks a lot closer to that one, so that's the one I'll get. I just think the Marvel Comic had weird coloring choices sometimes.

Jazz looks much nicer with all the bells and whistles added in terms of paintscheme. Also, they didn't go crazy with the metallic paint, so I think I'll get it instead of the Reveal the Shield version.

It's not just metallic paint for the WFC dudes, but additional paint apps and such. Optimus's mouthplate highlights, Bumblebee's knees and ankle guards, Soundwave's shoulder lights, Cliffjumper's ankle guards, Megatron's shoulder design, etc.

Not to mention that Drift sports much richer shades of white and red, and additional white paint on his shoulders.

without a dout the unighted figures look better than the generations/reviel the shield. the metalic paint looks cool and matches the game for the wfc versions

what optimus prime is that? i don't recognise it but then again i only search for the ones i want lol. is it the deluxe from the two pack of prime and the fab?

It was originally the Classics "Ultimate Battle" 2-pack with the Deluxe tank Megatron. It was later repackaged with Movie 1 FAB Optimus Prime in the "Leader for the Ages" 2-pack. It was then redecoed in the Universe line as the Hasbro Toy Shop exclusive SE-01 Special Edition Optimus Prime figure (pictured here with the United figure)

The Convoy fig looks really nice; its actually kinda funnny how they released him AFTER doing a transparent version. But I like the fact that he matches the Sons OF Cybertron versionin terms of the deco itself. Megs looks nice and I can't say I favor one over the other; The generations one looks more like before a battle, freshly painted and preped Megatron, while the United looks like he just finished a battle. But they both look really nice. Bumblebee might need a new head. For some reason the metallic paint brings to mind two things: Goldbug and G2 Bumblebee. In fact if that Bee had a G2 autobot insignia he would be perfect to put beside the upcoming Tfcc Ramjet. All in all these figs look really nice, definately worth getting at least a few.

Actually, Black Starscream, he's not called "Convoy" this time around. Like the Movie and Animated versions, TakaraTomy is using the "Optimus Prime" name for him (like how they've been using "Bumblebee", "Autobot", "Decepticon", etc. instead of "Bumble", "Cybertron", "Destron", etc.).

Is takara officially switching to the Hasbro trademarks or is this just to go along with Animated/Movie?

It seems they're switching to keep the names consistent in both markets from now on (save for a few instances like TFA Bulkhead & Ironhide as Ironhide & Armorhide).
