possible issue with TFTM 20th Anniversary DVD?

We received an e-mail regarding a possible bug with the 20th Anniversary Edition, Transformers The Movie.

"...during the Ultra Magnus scene on Junkion where he is blown to pieces, the widescreen movie suddenly shows Spanish Subtitles. You can turn them off..."  But apparently this will also turn off the Director's Commentary if you have this feature playing.

We have contacted sources with Sony BMG and they told us they ~"were not aware of any such issue would look into it."  I'll say this, that I have watched the DVD several times with and without commentary and have not experienced this issue.  Perhaps it's a DVD player issue?  Have any of you experienced this?  Please leave commentary below.

I'm just suprised that no one seems to discuss the animation error when Ultra Magnus is given the matrix...

This may be a dvd player error but when I watch the film with fun fax and trivia turned on, after Astrotrain takes off from Autobot City there are no more fun fax and trivia. And what's the deal with subtitles in spanish and (french?) but not english?

I only watch the Wide screen version and this has not happened to me.

hm, apparently not too big of an issue, as no one else seems to have experienced the same phenomenon...

I apologized to my DVD player last night, "It's not you, it's me!" is what I said. I did not notice an animation error when UM is given the matrix but I'll look again. The only major error I've noticed is when Hot Rod slides off of the spiky out-cropping that he landed on inside Unicron, his leg is appearing out of no where. But this is the same on the older Special Edition TFTM dvd I have.

During the commentary with Director, Producer and Sue my DVD defaults to spanish subtitles for the whole movie. I have to go back out to the "Set Up" and turn it off.

...and then the commentary works fine.
