MP-07 may be Grimlock

An interesting shadow pic has turned up on www.actoys.net.  It show's what seems to be unmistakably G1 Grimlock claiming that he will be the next Masterpiece figure.

Holy WOW a Masterpiece Grimlock would be awesome! But that shadow image is not a shadow image of a toy. It's the shadow of the G1 Grimlock package art.

Yo, Masterpice Grimlock would be SICK! But I don't worry about importing, so if it never came to the U.S. of A. I'd never get it, ;_;

Maybe one day I'll actually find MP Starscream and add it to my collection. Here's crossing my fingers...

I can't see Grimlock getting the masterpeice treatment.

I can't either actually. This would be surprising. Here's hoping!

I don't know... I mean, Optimus Prime, Megatron and Starscream pretty much begged for such a detailed treatment. Their original toys weren't all that close to their characters on the cartoon. Grimlock was pretty close to how his toy was designed, even if it wasn't very well articulated.

Another point to bring up is that the Grimlock transformation really isn't that complicated. He's always been really straightforward and the toys' transformations have always followed it. An MP version's transformation really wouldn't be all that different, would it?

To basicly everybody's point. I couldn't imagine that MP Prime would've ended up being so complex or articulte. I have only been increasingly impressed by Megatron, and even more impressed with Starscream. I can't begin to imagine how Tomy would do an MP Grimlock, but you can bet it will be VERY impressive. Assuming this rumor turns out to be true at all.

If they're making it in a show-accurate size, does this mean it might be taller the MP Prime and Megs? Ohh, looks like my Unicron toy'll get another opponent. ^_^

That is, if Hasbro makes one too. I can't afford most of the Takara figures The only Takara TFs I own are Liger Jack and Flame Convoy.

Hey guys. Who will be the first three Animated figs you will get? Me you ask? One, Starscream. Two, cybertron mode Megatron. Three, Ratchet. Please answer.

I got the Hasbro releases of Masterpiece Prime and Starscream, and I love them. Personally, I would love to see Grimlock get the Masterpiece treatment. I also see no reason why Hasbro would not release him, unlike Masterpiece Megatron.

I hope that this is indeed Masterpiece Grimlock, and not an ad for something else.

Grimlock?! in Masterpiece form?! That's almost the equivalent of buying the T-rex model used in Jurassic Park.
Scorpomike said,  - 2008-01-20 18:27:25
Grimlock wouldn't be my first choice for a MP. But Hey, I'm not complaining, I'd buy a MP Grimlock in a heartbeat. I heard a little talk about it in the past. I think it was an idea that might have leaked out. I'm not 100% sure. Grimlock is a very popular character though. The classics version was hard to find. Grimlock was my favorite toy when I was a kid. I was worried sick when I misplaced him. I found him about a year later. I still have him today. I'll have to say the inner part of the dino legs are wore out because I transformed him so much. I hope Takara does an Encore series of the Dinobots and G1 Predacons.

Tyscream, my first Animated figure would have to be Grimlock, Second, Cybertron alt mode Megatron, Third Starscream. I doubt the Dinobots will be released in the first wave of figures. I have a feeling the Animated Dinobots will be hard to find when they are released.

I don't know about this. Grimlock doesn't seem like it could be worth the MP price tag. What weapons or gimmicks could they possible think of to put in it? And then there's the fact that the transformation, unlike Prime, SS, and Megatron, doesn't need to be complex to get something that has more animation accurate proportions. The G1 figure was already very close in appearance to the cartoon model proportion wise. At least, moreso than the previous MPs.

Anyway do we have a translation of that page? I'd like to know what was actually said in regards to the picture.
