well, as awesome as that starscream/jetfire looks, I think for this years' convention Im going to have to stay off the botcon ex.'s . I don't have that much moola to be paying well around 200-240 for just one figure. sadly I'll only be picking up cryotek, RID optimus Primal, undead tarantulas, transformers henkie megs, and beast wars razorclaw. BTW, what are the usual price ranges of some of the recent dealers? Are they higher or lower than original prices for the beast wars figs? just needed to know how much money I need to have when I go.

I'm pretty sure they'll be higher LM. You gotta figure, in most cases they are still going to be on card and they are all discontinued figures now, so they've all become rarer.

Anybody registered for BotCon yet? Does anyone have any plans they care to share? It is only 2 months away, after all.

The rumor is they are completely sold out as of a few days ago but they have not made it offical yet.

{Perhaps there's some tiny hope of them getting Takara to make more of them }.

I guess after thinking about this for awhile, I don't like the idea of this whole Decepticons being the good guys and the Autobots being bad. It's a massive amount of reapints again. Razorclaw, c'mon, he's a minicon. The Razorclaw I know is ferocious and unstoppable, and leads the Predacons.

Everybody has their own opinion and I respect that. I just don't like the idea where they're going with this.

Yeah, Jazz would look evil if they simply changed one thing, his eye color to red.

Wouldn't it have been better to take some movie figures and repaint, retool etc. them in generation one colors. As much as I hate repaints and how much they did this to the movie items, I think it would have been a better choice. I know they made some exclusive paints in G1 colors, but they could have brought it to a whole new level for Botcon.

Think of this, Voyager Prime painted and reheaded as Rodimus, Blackout as Vortex, Leader Brawl in G1 Megatron colors and different head. The list could go on and on with my ideas, but I know i'm getting way off subject.

I'll have to say I like the "bad" Autobots so far. The colors are awesome, even though I'd prefer them as Decepticons. Prime-Motormaster, Grimlock-Trypticon, Jazz-Dead End, Gold Bug-Wild Rider, and Starscream, this one's pretty obvious-Jetfire. I'm not commenting on Razorclaw.

I've never really liked the idea of bad autobots, good decpticons. The figures are okay, but there isn't a single one of them (yet) that makes me regret that I didn't order a set. Maybe next year they'll do something I like.

It's not "Decepticon Optimus Prime" and "Autobot Starscream", it's "Evil Autobot Optimus Prime" and "Heroic Decepticon Starcream". The reason I think "Decepticon" should be altered is that "Heroic Decepticon" sounds like an oxymoron. "Evil Autobot" makes sense since "Autobot" is a neutral term that refers only to "Automobile", while "Decepticon" is a term that directly refers to "Deception". Why would the good guys be calling themselves something that involves deception? I'm sure even in that alternate universe the word "deception" has the same meaning as it does in the normal universe.

and it doesn't have to be a "goodie-two-shoescon" as you put it. It could be something cool and powerful that refers to "Defense", "Protection", "Soldier", "Warrior", "Combat", etc...

Ah yes, the heroic Protecticons save the day once more. The free figure should be the stalwart new Megatron who saved the golden disk from the evil Autobots.
