"Sari, No One's Home" seemed quite similar to the 90's comedy movie "Home Alone". Sari quotes Macaulay Culkin's character Kevin (see below), Scrapper acts as dumb as Daniel Stern's character Marv, and Mixmaster has always sounded like Joe Pesci...

Sari: "Now I'll have to call Prime and the others from the Communication center, out there. By the time they get here those two oil guzzlers'll wreck the whole place." [stares at her teddy bear] "No. *This is my house and I'm going to defend it!* I'll show them I'm just as tough as they are!" [quieter] "Even though I'm talking to a teddy bear."

Also, at the end of the episode, Prime yells "SARI!!!", like how at the end of Home Alone 1 and 2 where someone yells, "KEVIN... !!!" (In the first movie, Kevin's older brother, Buzz yells, "KEVIN, WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY ROOM!!!" and, at the end of the second film, Kevin's father yells, "KEVIN!!! YOU SPENT $967.00 ON ROOM SERVICE?!!!")

Even though I like transformers animated, I don't like this episode. I have no idea why.
Sidewinder said,  - 2008-06-28 12:26:31
Eh, it wasn't the best episode, but it was effective to set up Scrapper and Mixmaster as solid Constructicons.

Now, this episode was "just for laughs".

You guys know what's interesting? The Animated episodes that CN's showing this week at 6:00a.m. and 6:30a.m. are the ones from season 2 that lead right up to "A Bridge Too Close - Part One".

Monday: 6:00 - "Velocity", 6:30 - "Rise of the Constructicons"
Tuesday: "A Fistful of Energon", "S.U.V."
Wednesday: "Autoboot Camp", "Black Friday"
Thursday: "Sari, No One's Home", then the reruns begin again with "Home is Where the Spark is"
Friday: "Total Meltdown", "Blast From the Past"

I'm glad the ep had some bot fighting though. Blitzwing's pretty cool in this. Oh yeah, this is a few topics late, but in the episode Black Friday i noticed that one of Meltdown's mutants looked like the pretender Gilmer (Submarauder). Is it possible that the pretenders will appear in animated?
Perceptor said,  - 2008-06-30 09:13:01
Yeah I dig Blitzwing. But I'll tell you as an episode leading up to the season (series?) finale episodes, I was expecting something more. I'm just not thrilled with handling of the Constructions in this story. Not just the way they're portrayed w/ the lame (and inaccurate) stereotype of being unintelligent, beer guzzling construction workers. It's the way they're handled by the Autobots. It seems like if Optimus and the other Autobots handled things w/ a little kindness, these characters would be Constructabots, instead of -icons. The way OP and others act around them seems out of character to me... I don't know.

Don't get me wrong, I still think the episode is quite good and definitely worth watching (several times), but like Rise of the Constructicons, it's not my favorite. Bring on a "Bridge too Close!"

I heard their making a season 3.
Black Starscream said,  - 2008-06-30 14:38:02
I completely agree with that perceptor. The Autobots really could've just convinced them to be constructobots except they ended up treating them badly. Curious though, do you think it would've made much more sense if switched this ep with "Autoboot camp"?

It was ok but could have been better.
megatron said,  - 2008-06-30 20:02:28
way off subject . tformers.com shows possible movie poster spoiler check it out to me it looks like a redesign of Screamer or The Fallen himself perhaps ?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-06-30 23:56:35
That poster isn't confirmed to be official.
megatron said,  - 2008-07-01 01:48:47
who do you think will confirm that its real ?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-07-01 08:43:24
Idk. But it's still too early for the real posters to be showing up. I wouldn't expect them to show up until nearer the end of this year.
TriPredRavage said,  - 2008-07-01 09:33:12
I agree with Sabr. While they are probably already working on the CGI for the TFs, there is no way that they have finished models yet. I believe that Bay said it took hours to render even a second's worth of motion, I just can't believe that they are this far. I think it's just a pretty convincing fake.
HotshotSkyfire said,  - 2008-07-01 13:18:31
Okay, first, I want to point out that since I am a major Hotshot fan, I am no longer just "Skyfire".
The episode,it was semi-classic, with the homealone references, but it could have used more 'cons like Screamer or Luggy. Scrapper and Mixmaster, B-wing and Megs just ain't enough.
