Real Life Triple-Changer Bicycle Concept

Yes, you're reading that title correctly. Coolest-Gadgets.com reports that Bicycle Designer Chang Ting Jen came up with a design for a real "transforming" bicycle with three modes. The design is still in the concept stage but is said to go from a one person bicycle, to a hand cart and finally a backpack.  The idea is to make life a little easier for those who own bicycles, but live in big city areas where it is very difficult to get one's bicycle in his/her apartment.

The bike is said to be designed completely of plastic, instead of the normal aluminum metal frames, that allows it to weigh in at about 5.5 kg. or 12.13 lbs.

Check out this unique idea here.

That's incredible. It's interesting that they actually mention Triple-changers and Transformers. Very cool.

I just hope that this bike could support the weight of a full-grown adult, since it's being made of plastic instead aluminum.

Kinda reminds me of Sari's bike thing that transforms into a jetpack

You mean the one that never was?

Yeah, you're right. But it's also kinda like those transforming weapons/vehicles/partners that the Action Masters had.

this sounds alsome but what will be the the name of the robot he transforms into i wonda because i like transforming bikes
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-07-15 23:10:54
It doesn't turn into a robot. It turns from a bike, into a hand cart, and then into a backpack. It's not a real Transformers (TM) bike, it's a bike that transforms.
action master said,  - 2008-07-20 14:27:47
it like saberblade said its not a transformer unless it turns into a robot so all in all I think it is pointless to have
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-07-20 20:40:28
Based on that definition, action master, that would mean a LOT of Transformers (TM) are not transformers (i.e. Ravage, Laserbeak, Ratbat, Ramhorn, Steeljaw, Sky Lynx, the Beast Wars Mutants, Noble/Savage, Armada Laserbeak, etc.)
action master said,  - 2008-07-28 19:38:51
you forgot about cybertron laserbeak num nut

That's what "etc." is for. Duh.
