Masterforce Arrives on Unicron.com1  The 1988 section has been updated with cleaned up images and names above each box. Oh, and the Japanese Masterforce toys have been added to the bottom. An episode guide with titles has been added to the left side.

YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111111!!!!!!!!!!!

This is fantastic! I've always wanted to see "Toransufoma: Chojin Masutafosu", and now I'm one step closeer to it by getting to see the toys!

Keep'em coming, guys!!! :D

EDIT: Wait a sec? I thought you'd be putting pictures of Masterforce-exclusive charaters, but you've put in some that are the same toy as the U.S. counterparts (i.e. Cab's toy = Hosehead's toy). What's up with that?

Man, I love these updates! Thank you BP! :)

I find as I look through these pages there was another non-conscious, subliminal reason within me, why I didn't make these updates myself, much sooner. See, my bros and I have quite a few of the Japanese-only toys, but definitely not all. Now that we have these lists incorporated into the site, its the collector in me that finds myself even MORE motivated to, 'fill in the gaps' by scouring e-bay, looking for toys we're missing, and buying... and these toys are NOT cheap... Ugh...

Sorry about making you want to buy them all. And Sabrblade, this has been a very difficult decision for me. This is already a touchy subject, but I'll give it a try. The Godmasters are Earth kids with Transtectors (the robot) while Powermasters are Transformers with Nebulan helpers. Very different concept so different characters even though 3 are the same exact toy. Headmasters (Japan) are Transformers from the planet Master who transform into the head of a robot while Headmasters (western) are Transformers with Nebulan heads. Also different concept so I wanted to have them. The Seacons are the same except for personality.

The dilemma comes when you have to decide which characters are similar enough to consider the same. My first thought was to have all the Japanese toys that appeared in the shows, whether they were the same as a western toy or not. The rest of G1 is pretty much just recolors are included. For Beast Wars, I consider any bot that appeared in BW II or BW Neo to be a different character than the western release. I was on the fence until the BW:Ascending book. I consider Leo Prime the same character as Lio Convoy

BP, I wasn't referring to ALL the Masterforce characters, just the ones with the same deco as their U.S. counterparts. Cuz in the 1987 section, you listed only the Japanese exclusive ones and those who have American molds but with different colors. Specifically, Cab, Lightfoot, Road King, Wilder, Bullhorn, Cancer, and Sizzle are all the exact same toy as their U.S. releases.
