Can animated Sound wave get any cooler?
Bruticus_42 said,  - 2008-02-23 10:04:20
Did anyone see Krimzeek???? THE only complaint (if this is considered a complaint), where was the LAserbeak guitar?
Tyscream said,  - 2008-02-23 10:05:55
I know where was Laserbeak? hmmmm...
Bruticus_42 said,  - 2008-02-23 10:05:59
But the show in whole, kick ass!!! Loved the voice, loved the car mode, very fitting. AND Megatron telling Soundwave to intercept that transmission! *tear* Thank you Cartoon Network and Hasbro *sniff*

Holy freaking cow that was AWESOME! Kremzeek, Daniel, Soundwave... OMG I love his voice!!!! One can get a real sense of what the Autobots will be up against when they're forced to battle Decepticons, and the army of Sundac made robots, under the control of Megatron...

I also love the mock out girly superhero in the beginning w/ her pet unicorn, "powdered sugar!" Holy crap, the more I watch this show, the more I notice, the more I like it. Dang it was good!

I REALLY like how Soundwave's "coming to life" was depicted. "I have self awareness." His dialog with Megatron was equally well portrayed. Wow, this show was amazing! 10 out of 10!

Damn it!! How can i get US cartoon network? (when livin' in germany?) I always have to wait for youtube.
quickfire said,  - 2008-02-23 10:15:55
i wonder if Soundwave will team up with Blacarachnia and Lockdown
Perceptor said,  - 2008-02-23 10:28:53
There is SO MUCH potential for where they could go with this series. It's staggering.
Did anyone see Daniel Witwicky in Sari's party scene? I loved Soundwave! He ruled G1 Voice and and cool powers made this the best episode so far. where was Laserbeak? I hope Soundwave will appear again.

EDIT:why can i edit this comment? it boggles my mind since it's not mine, can one of you guys from the staff check for any coding errors?

did anybody notice daniel at sari`s b-day?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-02-23 10:37:38
This Soundwave: Superior! Cyb. Soundwave: Inferior!
Knightwing said,  - 2008-02-23 10:45:16
I couldn't agree more Sabrblade. That being in Cybertron may have had the name, but he was NOT Soundwave. This guy is Soundwave all the way!
Human Error said,  - 2008-02-23 12:17:36
damn it! damn it! damn it! I hate having to work on saturdays!! i usually catch it Sundays but NOOO of course the episode with my favorite transformer cant have an encore airing!! Stupid Pokemon marathon!
Jumpercliff said,  - 2008-02-23 13:08:23
That was a "rocking" debut for Soundwave!
Bruticus_42 said,  - 2008-02-23 13:09:45
AND did anyone take notice what the Pinata was? A purple T-Rex! Beast Wars mention!
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-02-23 13:14:17
And if any of you payed attention to the credits, you'd notice that David Kaye voiced the train operator voice. I rewatched that scene and noticed that the train sounded like a young BW Megatron.
Bruticus_42 said,  - 2008-02-23 13:18:59
Who did the voice of Soundwave? Perhaps David Kaye?
TriPredRavage said,  - 2008-02-23 13:22:25
According to Wikipedia, Soundwave was played by Jeff Bennett who plays Prowl.
bludgeon589 said,  - 2008-02-23 13:38:10
poor lazerbeak, he no appear till later... it are saddest.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-02-23 14:01:58
I agree with Preceptor 10 out of 10, I love how Soundwave was built from other machines. I am so happy I had all those douts about this series b/c then it wouldnt be as thrilling and mind boggling. but I didnt notice kremzeek. but w/e I'll just go on youtube and find the episode which is something you should Human Error if you missed the episode
Human Error said,  - 2008-02-23 15:33:00
Actually thats where i just came from Blaster =).

"The Revolution Begins Now!"

Ok, great episode! The whole Soundwave evolving thing is a great take on the character. They have finally done justice to our old mono-toned friend.

Is anyone else getting a little tired of the whole "where not of this world, we dont understand Earth customs" thing? I mean i understand that there aliens and all but come on enough is enough. idk maybe im just over reacting.
Knightwing said,  - 2008-02-23 16:34:40
I understand your point HE, but how long do you suppose it would take you to learn simple customary greetings & chit chat in another country. Even assume they spoke english. The slang terms in Europe are very different from those in the US. Add to that, the Autobots don't have a concept of a bithday party. It will probably be a long standing gag in the show.
Perceptor said,  - 2008-02-23 17:46:39
Yeah, sorry H.E. I don't want to seem like a TF apologist 100% of the time, but I'm w/ KW. I'm not even a little tired of the "we're not of this world. what are these strange customs..." bit. I love it. "What do you want for your Construction Date celebration?" That's great.

If it was poorly written (as it was in Energon) I would and did get tired of it. But here in TFA, I think it's very well done.

The human/bot interaction has been great. I also like how they're mixing it up with partnering. ie. unlike G1 season 3 where it was *always* Wheelie and Daniel or Energon where it was Kicker and Ironhide. or Always Spike and Bumblebee in G1 season 1... I think Sari/Bumblebee and Sari/Bulkhead Sari/OP interactions and how they're different adds a richness and humor not seen in a TF show before.

Sorry homeslice, but I have absolutely nothing even remotely negative to say about this series. Especially after that rockin' episode!
Knightwing said,  - 2008-02-23 17:54:11
Well Perceptor there was the unfortunate Professor Princess thing today. But other than that, this episode ROCKED!
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-23 18:06:45
Bulkhead decaptitated a living horse! gruesoooome!
deceptifan said,  - 2008-02-23 18:43:16
Soundwave was awesome, but what are you talking about, Bulkhead decapitating a live horse?
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-02-23 18:53:15
That wasn't a real horse, it was a robot. How could a real horse fly? Or should I say, "Unicorn".
Perceptor said,  - 2008-02-23 19:24:55
Dudes, "Professor Princess" was meant to be satire! A mockery of all the crappy girl super hero cartoons which somehow make it to the airwaves. Notice the goofy music playing while they're fighting? Notice the cute little "pop" sound that comes when she shoots her love bazooka? Did you notice her intended purpose of fighting the "evil of violent toys." As she fires exploding stuffed animals... The conclusion of their little battle she's there sobbing over the loss of "powdered sugar!" C'mon dawg, that's intended to be comedy! (and I think they pulled it off nicely!)
STILLWILL said,  - 2008-02-23 20:53:43
Soundwave is back! This episode is another Decepticon introduction that rocks. Megs is slowly building up his Decepticon army on Earth. I absolutely love all the homages (old G1 self and Kremzeek)! For those of you who missed it earlier you can catch it on Youtube. Type in "Transformers Animated - Sound and Fury" or follow these links:

Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHwoSMlf09M
Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnRgM6CBjSY

The voice for Soundwave rocks. His voice and dialect evolve back to his old G1 self. Soundwave is so mine when he hits store shelves.
Human Error said,  - 2008-02-23 21:34:46
Hey now no need for apologies Percepter, its all good. like i said i may have been over reacting. to be honest it doesnt really bother me that much.its just the "oh come on now" factor but its all good =)
Sabrlbade said,  - 2008-02-23 21:53:29
THIS JUST IN!!! A new TF: Movie Allspark Power toys commercial has aired. It features Stockade, Incinerator, Landmine, and Nightwatch Optimus Prime!
Human Error said,  - 2008-02-23 22:39:22
wow sadr either i watch too much tv or you dont watch enough i saw that about 2 weeks ago! =)
Sabrblade said,  - 2008-02-23 23:28:18
Hey, it must be somewhat recent, since those toys just came out a little bit ago.
Blasten Blaster said,  - 2008-02-24 01:17:04
ya im getting tired of the whole "we're not of this world, we dont understand Earth customs" thing to it was ok for like the first five episodes but now its just reduntant you'd thing as much as sari hangs out with them they wouldn't have be "earth dumb" anymore.

"Professor Princess"? That thing was sad and disapointing but understandable they needed a low key non-threat to fight before the main course and that was it.

But what i can't wait for is to see how Megatron get his new body and sweet helicopter form. That will be the best episode ever (or atleast it better be).
ZhaneX said,  - 2008-02-24 01:20:55
Ah man! This episode was awesome! I live in Canada, but I get it on YTV, and this episode was great! The little girl thing at the beginning, and how soundwave can turn from some human sized toy, into his real form is interesing in that it kinda shows how he can turn into just a stereo. But the dialog with Megatron was probably the best part. And also I loved the little bit of comedy with Megatron at the end.

"I will get my servos on that key.......when I have, servos....."
I can't wait to see his new Earth made body.
Perceptor said,  - 2008-02-24 08:42:51
Blasten, see my above post. Professor Princess was pure satire. Watch the scene closely, it's hilarious when observing all those points (see above.)

And lets face it, earth customs ARE wierd! I think the way they portray the Autobot's whole learning process is fun.
Mirage2006 said,  - 2008-02-24 08:49:38
This episode is different from what I expected. I loved the use of Soundwave and how he got his vehicle mode by having other robots clamped onto him. Very thoughtful on my account. I give this episode two thumbs way up to Cybertron! Can't wait for the next episode.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-24 12:06:21
Sabrblade, there is no way that horse was a toy,it thought and moved by itself.
Anoymous said,  - 2008-02-24 13:28:05
Soundwave superior:Meltdown inferior.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-24 14:12:35

as for now, I think the inferior joke should stay true to its original glossy surface. And btw........ WHEN THE HELL IS JASON GOING TO PUT MY FREAKIN' CUSTOM UP?!?!?!? :(
lord megatron said,  - 2008-02-24 16:05:12

did anyone notic that soundwave at the start look like g1
Jason said,  - 2008-02-24 16:29:53
Wow what a show. I dare say that this rendition of Soundwave is better than G1 (with no interesting origin, or reasonable explanation of his somewhat simple 'natural' vocal processing). Also I dig that while this Soundwave has voice synthesis abilities, his own voice remains very computer-y... Indicative of his being born of human technology amplified by the power of the key. No personality per se, just cold logic. Sweet.
Lord Megatron,
about the customs... I totally dig them. I was working on a totally new system for the alterations section, but I ran into some MAJOR road blocks along the way, and am now in the process of rethinking it. Please, bear with me.
Rhinox said,  - 2008-02-24 17:39:25
Lord Megatron, that shockwave and magnus are KITBASHES!
Don't start rumors before reading the slightest bit of info written right next to the pics.
lord megatron said,  - 2008-02-24 18:56:36
thanks jason, and in response to rhinoxs' reply, why do they have price tags near them with the quintessons retailing at 30000y?.....................er, wait....ok maybe you're right. GOD THAT SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Scorpomike said,  - 2008-02-24 21:24:17
I liked the G1 homages, I caught Kremzeek. I hope this isn't the last we see of Soundwave. Are the Autobots that dumb to not figure out or even suspect that there's some kind of Decepticon activity. I can't wait until reinforcements show up. I'm talking they knew Soundwave was a Sumdac creation and he ended up being a Decepticon. Hopefully it's figured out in another episode. I know it's just a cartoon, overall they did a great job on this episode. The hype is raised when a new episode comes out, but I'll have to say so far I like this one and "along came a spider" about the same.
Perceptor said,  - 2008-02-25 09:29:02
It used to be my opinion that no TF show would ever eclipse the awesomeness of Beast Wars. That is, I didn't think that anything would ever be better. I'm still not ready to say that TFA is better than Beast Wars, but wow I'm starting to think it has the potential to be...
Romorini said,  - 2008-02-26 01:31:42
I figured that Professor Princess was satirizing those "concerned parents" groups. I remember an article that came out during Armada (featuring a terrible mis-transformation of Thrust) denouncing the violence the toys instill in their young, impressionable victims.
