In case you missed it, be sure to check out news item on TFW2005 where they have posted pictures from a recent Takara-Tomy Museum Event held in Kyoto, Japan.   Images include some nifty shelf displays of Optimus Prime through the ages, as well as concept art, Japanese Animated toy offerings and various other displays.

Main, this all looks cool!

I am really digging these displays. Notice how both the figures used in each and the years marks for each are in reference to the Japanese toylines. Like, the G1 season 1 & 2 figures are labeled as "1985" instead of "1984~1985", there are no Classics/Universe figures (only Henkei! Henkei!, which are labeled as "2008"), and the Beast Wars Returns (Beast Machines) figures are labeled "2004" instead of "2000". And, they're all from the main toylines with little-to-no smaller lines like Binaltech or RobotMasters on display.

But the coolest display is probably the one with all the the Supreme Commander Convoys, Buster Optimus Prime, and JTFA Optimus Prime.

I LOVE all the Beast Wars drawings. Judging by these, I 'd say htat the first season (the pre-Transmetal and pre-Fuzor episodes) was the most popular of the Beast Era in Japan. The Unicron and Mini-Con drawing look good too.
