Wow. It appears to be a very sad day indeed for fans of the Transformers. Many sites, including bwtf, transfandom, allspark, tfw2005 ... have full copies of a press release from Dreamwave which states that they will be "ceasing operations". I've never seen anything like it, in the middle of SO many large story arcs... Publically, they seem to be doing well, new titles coming out all the time, top artistic talent... I just don't know what to say. I'm stunned and greatly disappointed. Given the terrible writing of many/most of the cartoon episodes, it's the comics that has kept my intrest on such a high over the last few years. Does this mean no new comics effective immediately? No idea, but there will certainly be a lot of people keeping a close eye on the situation. Stay tuned.
