Japanese commercial for United toyline

The United toyline seems to be going as strong as ever in Japan, and now it gets it's own epic commercial (courtesy of YouTube)! This commercial advertises the ten figures of Wave 1 in this toyline, showing off all their modes and gimmicks.

It starts off on an awesome-looking Cybertronian landscape display where the five Cybertron Mode figures confront each other. Note that this scene gives us a close up of each figure's face, revealing that this Megatron figure features some very "Dark Energon-esque" light-piping in his eyes (unlike the Generations figure, where his eyes are instead painted red).

The battle then shifts to an Earth city display where Optimus, Bumblebee, and Megatron each scan Earth Modes for themselves, and are accompanied Straxus and Drift. Like the manga for this series, it kinda takes WFC characters and puts them in a G1-esque plot as opposed to a Prime-esque one (though, the details of this fictiion are still unclear at this point).

I found the commercial to be pretty funny but cybertronian megatron looks so much cooler than our version.

i am hating japan rite about now and this is only on an advert let alone there kick aft redecos and japan only figures such as the late g1 and bwii and bwn figures why hasbro why do you have to suck when it comes to adverts

Lol nice ad, but surprisingly I think this add is actually less good than their 80's stop motions (even during diaclone they showed powered convoy drive up on its own and transform). But still better than ours because there aren't random children. I was almost sad that Japan still isn't getting the tank megatron but actuall from this ad I see why they picked the respective figures for Prime and Megs. The small Prime actually resembles the Generations one more than the classics version, and likewise voyager classics Megs looks more like generations than the small one. I still think Bumblebee needs a G2 insignia cuz metallic paint makes him look golden. BTW is Takara completely abandoning the Cybertron and Destron faction names?
