Posted by:

We're excited to continue our series of character pages for in-show BW characters.  As with Ratrap, you'll find excerpts from the official Beast Wars Story Bible, w/ character: Weaponry, Skills, Interests/Hobbies... written by the authors themselves, Larry DiTillio and Bob Forward.  You'll find TERRORSAUR, now linked to in the 1996 Transformers Section.

Ultra Gear, guys. Truly and awesome page. I can't wait to see the others and the ones that are still to come from the comic. I'm really looking forward to pages on Cheetor, Waspinator, and Snarl.

Terrorsaur was always my favorite non-leader. I hate he died from falling in a pit of lava.

Hey perceptor can you give us a hint as to who's next. Pwetty pwease.
Nice work. Really want to see Tarantulas (sp?) and Megatron...
Are you going to be doing Transmetals as well (obviously when you've finished this lot) or not?
Cheers again

Good work. I love reading the show bible. BTW - Terrorsaur DID appear in a comic. He was in the 3H Enterprises Transformers: Universe comic as one of the Transformers abducted by Unicron. Maybe Unicron abducted him just before he was killed in the lava, so now Terrorsaur lives on on Cybertron.

Should have put a note in there that Terrorsaur was not supposed to be killed originally. Waspinator was going to get the axe, but was too much of a fan favorite. I heard this from Scott McNeil at Iacon One last year.

Are you kidding me Waspinator was a fan favorite even more than Terrorsaur. Wow I always hated Waspy.

Waspinator was an idiot, however he was cool when he got possessed by starscream, and that was only a breif moment too. I hope for maybe Scorponok.

Oh and another thing, how intelligent was scorponok anyways?
I mean sometimes he looked as if he had a brain because he produced that cyber-bee that almost took out optimus but then again, He acted somewhat of a moron. He cool looking though!

Are you kidding me? Waspinator was amazing! He was a great character, had amazing development and provided some of the best moments in the series. And when he returned for those whole two minutes in Beast Machines: priceless. Waspinator was so much better of a character than both Scorponok and Terrorsaur put together, simply because Terrorsaur just wanted to be Starscream and didn't even end up possesed by him! Scorponok was constantly written poorly and sometimes was genius, other times dumber than a freakin' rock. I distinctly remember him once saying "Megatron back; Megatron Back! Scorponok left alone with Terrorsaur and Tarantulus. Oooh, very bad." What is that!? He was deputy commander for crying out loud! They deserved to die. Oh and by the way, I seem to recall their ancestors falling into lava at the end of season one in G1 and all of them survived. That should be a clue about how much they stunk considering they've had millions of years to evolve and become stronger and yet they're the only two that died when falling into magma. They got what was coming to them.

TPR you're partly right but remember the beasties have actual flesh on them the G1's have like 3 tons of titanium cassing.

P.S. Speaking of the the outside "skin" in the DVD you get with the Optimus Prime and Megatron Clasics 2 pack Optimus says TF's are made from "duribillium (dur-ruh-bil-lee-um) steel the hardest metal in the universe".

One other interesting thing about Terrorsaur is that his Transmetal toy was colored more like Lazorbeak (his blue repaint) than Terrorsaur himself. Later on in Beast Machines they released a Dinobot named Terranotron, who was another use of the Transmetal mold, and it was in Terrorsaur's colors!

I like the page,it looks good, but the desighn on the figure,I mean look at all those green dots! What are they? Are they supposed to be his scales?Shouldn't the scales be red orange?Another weird BW figure
TriPredRavage said,  - 2007-03-18 10:44:42
I'm pretty sure they were just spots, kinda like how Lazorbeak had stripes.
Paul Jr. said,  - 2007-03-20 10:23:43
Whatever they are,I still don't like them.
Paul Jr. said,  - 2007-04-13 12:24:00
I would say the next character is Waspinator because Terrorsaur and him were always partners.
UltraPrime said,  - 2007-05-11 18:48:30
Yeah, Waspinator should be next.
