IDW's January Listing: Including info on TF: Animated book!

IDW's listings for January found at Comic News International sheds some light on the upcoming TF: Animated book showing up on Amazon.com. Unfortunately, it looks like IDW will not be producing it's own incarnation of TF: Animated. Instead these two IDW produced books will feature art and stories strait from the show itself.
January's listings also includes info and cover art for Spotlight: Blaster, Devistation #5, and Best of UK Dinobots #5.

Dang. I was hoping that at least SOME form of media of GB Animated would be good and keep humans out but no, it has to come from the show.

I'm actually glad there's no separate comic story for this series. Whenever there is, they always seem to contradict the animated versions and make it hard for someone to keep up with the stories in each.

This isn't the first time there's been a comic based on a TF show.

Although I understand what you mean Chaos Bringer, and I mostly agree on the comic aspect, as far as the humans in the storyline at all, I'd like to remind you that this isn't the first TF show/comic to have human villains (i.e. Docter Arkeville, Lord Chumley, Circuit Breaker, Cobra Commander, Abdul Fakkadi, and Lazerus. That's only G1 there). Indeed, human adversaries are not new in TF continuity, don't know if that helps you get over your problem with humans in TF Animated or not, just something to think about.

Speaking of Transformers books there is an excellent one whose author I can't recall, it isn't okayed by hasbro or takara, but it was named something like "transformers: the fun ,the future".I will be purchasing it tomorrow at my school's Scholastic book fair, it is intended for middle-school readers, and in the u.s. it's 7.99.Don't think it's a kiddie book either, it is a very detailed explanation and welcome into the transformers universe.Pick it up for a loved one and introduce them into the tf world
