ROTF Ramjet & Skywarp auctions

Once again, Ebay has another set of items for sale. But this time, it's those two ROTF Ramjet and Skywarp toys that we reported a ways back. But this time, they a pictured in Robot Mode (slightly mis-transformed, though) and give us a good look at their faces. We came now clearly see that Ramjet a straight redeco of the regular and Deep Space versions of Starscream, while Skywarp uses the head that came with the Thundercracker and the Target (G1 colored) Starscream versions of the mold. Also, the seller has the Target Animated Sunstorm and purple Shockwave sets for sale, as well as Wreck-Gar, and a Classics Nemesis Prime prototype.

Since this news relates to ROTF, I've gotta say it:

As great as that Shockwave looks in purple, i dont think he would still pass as an Autobot in Longarm form. He looks too sinister xp

As far as Sunstorm and Wreck-Gar are concerned, I'm content to wait until they hit local shelves rather then risk paying twice the cost on eBay. I, personally, really like the look of Animated Shockwave. I understand the desire to redeco him in G1 colors, but his scheme looks better on that figure in the grays.

As for the ROTF Skywarp and Ramjet...they are still using a substandard figure and I really, really, really hope they give Starscream a new and better figure for this new movie, one that doesn't look like a brick with a nose cone. Hasbro really dropped the ball on designing Starscream for the movie line and not only trashed the sleek and lethal image of the F-22 Raptor, but short changed a classic character by making him look akin to a big metal gorilla. Step it up Hasbro.

i agree with you Sidewinder. Shockwave looks way better in his gray color scheme. I dont really care for Skywarp and Ramjet. Since i dont like the Animated Starscream figure, i think ill get Sunstorm because i really like his color scheme, and i dont want to miss out on the mold.

Animated Starscream is actually a pretty solid figure, pretty show accurate. They did a lot better with him than they did with Movie Starscream. I just want to see a Thundercracker redeco of him Voyager size.

Question: are the up-and-coming Robot Heroes Tigatron and Ricochet the first repaints in the Robot Heroes line? And I mean repaints as a new character, not like the metalic repaints that were the same characters as they were first released. I feel like they shouldn't be, but I can't think of any others that were repainted as different characters...

No, Starscream was redecoed as Thundercracker, and Bumblebee as Cliffjumper.
