First image renderings of The Fallen and Devastator!

New image renderings of two of the most highly anticipated characters from the ROTF movie have shown up at ACToys, and have been mirrored at TFW2005. These two images are of The Fallen, whose toy had been previously revealed earlier, and Devastator, who is said two be a two-foot-tall combiner.

First up on the list is the rendering of The Fallen. He's like a mix of something out of the old movie Alien, and a demonic, fiery metal monster. He's basically what one could call a "Space Demon". He could surely give any frightened child severe nightmares. But to us older fans, he looks, IMHO, incredibly amazing! And he seems to be standing on the tip top of a pyramid.

Next is the rendering of Devastator. Wow, talk about a mechanical mess of construction parts. This big bad behemoth is one sick-looking freak! And that makes him even more awesome! It is said that the Constructicon shovel that was seen before will form his torso area.

Overall, these two look wicked and make me even more eager to see the final products (both the film and the toys).

Wow, the fallen looks bad ass. Sure as hell isnt a tank but it still looks great, cant wait to see him kickin Primes ass.

Fallen looks amazing, seems to draw insperation for the War Within Fallen (the orange "flames"), Star Gate, and the old Alien Films... Its all deadly. Now Devastator, I am curious how they play out that story. Obviously due to the Sheer scale of him it will create an interesting battle, where the Autobots will have to adapt... Humm Kinda like Prime and Jetfire linking up..... I wonder

Devastator is interesting if a bit weird. However The Fallen looks wicked, I think I'm going to enjoy seeming him show up.

Also why does everyone keep saying those old Alien movies... they aren't that old.. I'm only 19 (20 soon) but I don't think that was long enough ago to qualify as an old movie... dated yes, but not old.

Clutch, that idea kinda evokes the TF: Cybertron episode where Prime and Wing Saber have to combine to fight and beat the giant Starscream.

Devastater look kinda cool. But the fallen look amazing but hes sorta skinny.
Overhaul said,  - 2009-02-11 15:57:54
Devastator doesn't look bad, but I'm interested to see how he'll look when standing up straight, and how he'll move.
As for the Fallen, he looks pretty sweet(and yes, very Alien-ish), but too thin for my tastes for that particular character. The Fallen needs to have some more bulk to him.
I'm still not that sure about the idea of having the Fallen in this movie, considering the concept only arose within the past few years, and you've got many Decepticons out there to toy with as alternates to Megatron... like say Bludgeon.

Okay, at least Fallen still has that kind of glow like the old one.

As for Devastator, he does look cool, but also looks like Chemo after falling in a junkyard.

Devastator reminds me of Wildfly's shell

Fallen = Win

Devvy = DO NOT WANT

He's just bent over. Don't you remember those old prelimenary renderings of Ironhide, Starscream, Blackout, Optimus, and Megatron? They were terrible before the final designs had been released.
JAB said,  - 2009-02-11 19:23:04
Devastator looks sweet. But I did hope that the fallen would be based on Megatron a little like all weapons and tremendous skill, he does look cool though.

you said 2 foot tall XD

Devastator is going to have four eyes? hmm...interesting
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-02-11 20:19:34
Yes, a two-foot-tall combiner. He will be a combiner that is two feet tall.
fallen said,  - 2009-02-11 20:50:08
how tall is fortress maximus
Sidewinder said,  - 2009-02-11 20:56:08
Again, I'm just not that thrilled about the Fallen. He still looks like a Bionicle figure got an upgrade. Devastator, now theres a guy thats going places. And when he gets there, he will annihilate those places.

Actually, this just occurred to me. Michael Bay said that Megatron wasn't the bad guy in this one, and clearly we have the Fallen. Did he ever actually say that Megatron wasn't in it? I mean, we've got toys for a very high profile character. We're talking significant production for a character that isn't even supposed to be involved in the film. What if they bring in Megatron because the Fallen is too much for anyone to handle and they need a military leader, like Megs, to fight this guy?

Just a thought.

I like Devastator already, I don't care, a two foot tall combiner is the bomb! I'm buying two sets and keeping one in the package. The Fallen looks cool too. I think Starscream will be the main villan. If Megatron is in the movie, I'm thinking they will show him on Cybertron as a flashback. That's where the tank mode will come in. That's if Michael Bay isn't jerking us around telling us that Megs won't be in the movie.
Master Dex said,  - 2009-02-11 22:32:16
@ Sidewinder: Bay said himself that Megatron wasn't in the movie and the concept art of him with the tank alt form was just for a new toy in the ROTF line. However Bay has not given up on his disinformation campaign (unlike others) so this may be a lie. We can't really be sure.

Devestator is awesome, like a mad mechanical attack monster! And if the shovel guy alone was about 4 times as big as Prime, then devastator must be...huge!
And the Fallen looks great, from the first images of the toys I wasn't really sure about him, but that render is awesome! Man, only a few months to go, I can't wait!
chrombot said,  - 2009-02-12 02:04:05
Devastator looks a little to squatty and hunchbacked. I hope the toy looks ok though.
Romorini said,  - 2009-02-12 11:24:18
I think the 'hulking brute' aesthetic could really work for Devastator, he was never the brightest combiner, and he destructive might was unparalleled until they brought in Omega.

This image has some weird perspective stuff going on, so I think he's closer to human proportions than we think. The colors don't clash as much as I thought they would.

Scorpomike:

Many things to me are in question, but there is no doubt (in my mind) that "The Fallen" is the main villain of this film, based the very title of the film, how prominently his face is featured on the movie posters, and also because he looks like he has a good sized figure.
Considering Bays' dis-information campaign seems to still be running, for all we know, Megatron may make an appearance, and I imagine maybe it will be to explain how he returns (as a secondary background story), or at least I hope it will happen that way. I am a proponent of cliffhangers in that respect, not just having events come completely out of left field when a movie begins.

"Oh dude! And it would be schooper schweet and totally *not* lame if "the Fallen" (if that isch indeed hisch name!) had armsch that schplit in two and he wielded aweschome lazcher schwords in each hand! Now that would be *aweschome*!"

But seriously, maybe they'll use the Fallen to bring Megatron back at the end or something like that. If not Unicron, maybe the next best thing is one of his minions? (Of course, in my daydream he comes back voiced by Frank Welker, still as Megatron, or even the comic book version of Galvatron (still crazy, but in a not-so-stupid way).

No offense to the Autobots but to me........THEY'RE DOOMED.
Thex said,  - 2009-06-27 14:08:44
I've actually watched the movie! Mudflap is mint. He gets swallowed by Devastater and then rips a hole in Devasters face qand climbs through. Some decepticons bring Megatron back near the begining. Now megatron has a tank form. Jetfire and optimus merge to make Jet Prime! They then smash The Fallen's face in. Optimus Prime gets killed by Megatron but comes back later in the movie. There is an autobot in every movie who doesn't comeback. In the first one its Jazz the first lieutenant and in revenge of the fallen its Jetfire. There is actually 2 of every construticon except for demolisher. At the begining optimus canes demolisher but demolisher comes back. If demolisher dies you couldn't see Devastater.
