Robert Orci has given out the name of another confirmed character who will be appearing in the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen feature film at TFW2005. This character is one who has been in the loop of rumors those who say that he is in the movie, and those who say he isn't. While there has been no concrete "Yes" or "No" evidence, there have been some hints and clues (such as toys of this character) that some were taking as ways of saying that his going to be in the film, while others took these as nothing more than ways for Hasbro to get more money and confuse us into thinking that he would be in the film.

Well now we have a confirmation that this guy is in the movie. If you hadn't guessed who I'm talking about after after reading the title, click here to see Orci's post.

*UPDATE*

The first images of the ROTF Leader class Megatron (NOT Galvatron) toy have shown up at The Arker. Two sets of images, both showing off the toy in its rather cryptic-looking packaging. Click here and here to see these images. Also, one of these images shows his bio:

"Rebuilt with parts cannibalized from other DECEPTICONS, MEGATRON rises once again to lead his army. Though the AllSpark destroyed him once, he can now feel its power coursing through his circuitry. It calls him to seize his rightful place as ruler over the puny planet on which he was imprisoned and destroyed, and from which he will launch his conquest of the universe. OPTIMUS PRIME is all that stands between him and victory, and the AUTOBOT leader has doen a poor job of hiding himself. At laong last, MEGATRON knows exactly where his enemy is, and he has power enough to destroy him."

Knew it. Who wouldn't have a Transformers movie WITHOUT Megatron?

Well, there have been several series without a Megatron (or sometimes without an Optimus Prime), so a movie without him wouldn't seem impossible.

will he be megs or galvatron?

Based on the evidence, one would think it was Megatron. But, based on the toy I saw on TFW2005, one would think Galvatron.

Well, from what we've heard, the toy in question is called Megatron. There is a chance that he may become Galvatron, but only after the death of Optimus Prime and the Rise of Rodimus. But I'm just glad to know that Megatron is coming back in some form or fashion, he got really short changed in the first movie.

He's Megatron, not Galvatron.

If you people look at the pics close enough you can see that his name is Megatron.

of course he's megatron. galvatron does not exist in the movie universe

1. Fallen, Galvatron doesn't exist yet.
2. With all this talk about Minions of Unicron in TF2, TF3 could have Unicron.
warlord5 said,  - 2009-02-22 16:19:22
mabey galvatron in TF3?
and if he is built from the other D's, who's tiny arm is that?
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-02-22 16:29:35
He's not built from body parts, he's built from material parts.

He's not something like Autobot X whose made from recognizable body parts.

It's a new body composed of the substaces from other bodies.

Like how the bio for Universe Cyclonus also says he's made from teh bodies of fallen Decepticons, yet his body look nothing like that of any previous Decepticon.

i bet megtrons head will look different. thats why they covered it. hopefully it look more like the g1 megatron. the figure has the big arm cannon just like the g1 version
Sabrblade said,  - 2009-02-22 18:16:40
No, it looks the same as the previous one. His head's box art is perfectly visible in the bottom-right corner of the box.

i think its just a little to early for a name change

and if The Fallen is related to Unicon in this vers, he'll some how play into Meg's ungrading posibly late in RotF on in between now and TF3
warlord5 said,  - 2009-02-23 15:35:45
but if its materials and not parts he could have goten a bigger left arm
i mean some sort of big melee thingy would be a little more balanced and be not as goofy lookin

I've been saying it all along. The Fallen in the title refers both to The Fallen character one of the original 13 Transformers but it also refers to Megatron and the others who fell in battle in TF1. If they are keeping the idea from the War Within comics that The Fallen is a servent of Unicron then, it is probably he who revives Megatron and perhaps others. I think they are setting us up for Unicron in TF3.

Unicron has already appeared in the Movieverse... sort of. Well, make of this what you will:
