G1 Firecons

From the "Lets Get This Over With" files of Unicron.com, check out all new character pages for the Firecons: CINDERSAUR, FLAMEFEATHER & SPARKSTALKER now available in the 1988 Section.

Do their robot modes look cool?        Ah, no. (see for yourself!)
Are they at least posable?                   Please, this was the 80's!
They have recognizable alt modes? You've never seen anything like it, before or since!
Interesting character personas?        Sparkstalker isn't bad, other 2 are dumb berzerkers
Fun/complex transformation:              You've got to be kidding!

Yeah, as you can tell, the're not exactly on my list of personal favorites, but they are Transformers and now I can check these off my character page "to do" lists!

What's interesting about these guys is that their japanese counterparts, the Decepticon Sparkdash, were colored differently, BUT they appeaered in the Masterforce cartoon with the color schemes of their Firecon counterparts.

But they were also only drones, as there were a lot of them, none of them spoke, noene of them were referred to by name, and they only appeared in Beast Mode. and while they were pretty weak, they were a force to be reckoned with in great numbers, and so managed to put up a decent fight as a group against the Autobots.

Their best appearance was in Enemy Action where they actually did something.

I like the idea of them as clone soldiers, kind of like the sharkticons.

Hey, bash these guys if you want, but I like their alt forms, and I happen to have Sparkstalker (I even painted his eyes red). We all know Cindersaur is, yes, a dinosaur, but not too sure of what the other two are? Flamefeather's a phoenix (the FIREbird of Greek myths and adapted into other mythologies, like Japan's Garuda) and Sparkstalker's a "firebug". His beast mouth reminds me a BIT of the insects from the original "Rodan" movie from 1956. Anyone seen it?

I dunno, even as a kid when these guys first came out I knew they were kinda lame.
