Our Events and Interviews Section, has been updated with "part 1" of our conversation with Transformers Animated art director and lead character designer,Derrick Wyatt. Here Mr. Wyatt shares his not too-spoilery thoughts and insights in our new "IMterview" format (that's instant messaging interview! fyi) and teases with facts of what we may or may not expect to see in the remainder of season 3.

Here in part 1, we learn insights of the development of the series, including development of characters and the All spark itself... (sorry, cannot resist the opportunity for a little further self-promotion and not-so-shameless plug for Accessory Set #6!...)

I figured this is a healthy enough read for now, part 2 is coming soon!

But that was a good insight into some of Season 3 and the mind of Wyatt. Nice job, and I can't wait for part two.

Wyatt was a fan of the G1 cartoon more than the G1 comic. Which is why Ratbat won't speak and why he supports FIRRIB.

I am eagerly awaiting part 2.

Ditto, I wonder if he'll shed some light on the Target exclusive Shockwave model that we saw earlier this week.

On another note, this is kinda stupid but eh, it's my B-day today and I was wanting to know if anyone could recomend any figures for me, you see, I've got all this money and nothing in mind to spend it on. I already ordered MP-08 and Henkei Thrust and Dirge, any ideas guys?

Henkei Cyclonus, Henkei Dinobot, TFA Samurai Prowl, TFA Waspinator... in fact, just about any Animated figure is one that I would recommend (except for some that didn't appear in the show, like Blazing Lockdown - I don't recommend him).

On topic: Wait a sec! Rodimus' team and Team Chaar had that big battle scene and now they're all done with their major appearances? What a ripoff! I don't want them as cameos, I want them as guests like Lockdown and the Elite Guard. I wanna see all three Primes interact together. This just totally bites! This is so slaggin' bogus!

Henkei Dinobot will be mine! I'm considering Cyclonus as well, Waspinator DOES look very tempting, and I already own SP(which is simply AMAZING).
