The Hub to show 1980s Hasbro shows?

An article at AdAge.com talks about the upcoming programming that is to be featured on Hasbro's new channel, "The Hub".

The article mentions that it will feature new series for children, but also makes this mentioning:
"But The Hub is also looking to pry open Hasbro's vaults and those of other production companies to program at least an hour's worth of vintage content from the 1980s to attract the parents of its target viewers."

Could this hint at a possible return of the Generation One Transformers cartoon to U.S. television broadcasting? And what other gems from the past could this bring about? Only time will tell.

Geez, I have always wanted channels for stuff like this. I know there's Boomerang, but individual channels for these would be so cool. Think about it: one channel for 60's cartoons, one for 70's, one for 80's, one for 90's, one for superhero cartoons of all four decades, and one for action cartoons of all four decades. (just think, one channel could air every one of the Super Friends cartoons in a row).

Does anyone know if the Hub is on air already?

@Jumpercliff: Interesting idea, but I doubt it would happen.

@BossMan: The article does say that the Hub is set to launch Oct. 10.

It would be cool to see G1 on TV again.

What if- just what if we could see even more G1 remakes? We could have a "G1 Line." With now's character detailing, and the 80's favorite designs, Hasbro could make lots of $$$. Think about it... a leader-class gun Megatron with lights, sounds and a firing projectile...

You know you're all hoping for the Jem and the Holograms to be rebroadcast. And what about the Inhumanoids?

@Masterforce: What do you think Classics, Universe (2008), and the upcoming Generations lines were all about? Also, waht does this have to do with this cartoon news?

@Byreprime: I can honestly say that I've never seen either of those (but I do know of them), as they were before my time.
