Following up on the revelation that Peter Cullen would be lending his voice to a character in the upcoming Transformers: Prime cartoon, more news has come about.

Two pieces of information regarding the cartoon has been spoken of by Roberto Orci on the Don Murphy Message Board.

One is that, when asked about the series is coming along, Orci made the mentioning that Frank Welker is involved too.

The other regards Starscream. When asked if Starscream were to retain his traditional personality seen in the likes of G1, Cybertron, Animated, and nearly all other places, Orci gave the simple answer of, "Yup."

This series is starting to sound better and better.

Aww... yeah! "M-megatron... MEGATRON!" I do a great Starscream voice, and Screamer has always been my favorite character becouse of his comical/tricky/foolish personality.

I gotta admit, I hope that Welker is Soundwave and not Megatron. I kinda feel like, as he's gotten older, his Megatron has too, and it's just not what we expect from Megatron anymore. Welker's Megatron was snakelike, "hissy" evil. Ever since Beast Wars, Megatron has had a sense of refinement in the way he speaks, and I want that to continue.

But hey, I'm down with Welker playing Voldemort in a Harry Potter something with that voice if he ever get's the chance.

Welker as Soundwave, would be great ONLY if synthesize the voice (like G1), and don't make him sound like a growly Dr. Claw from inspector Gadget as he sounded in ROTF.

Welker as Megatron... I had high hopes of seeing this coming... Yeah, even though Kaye has the best Megatron voice I've ever heard
