Images of the upcoming new Power Core Combiners

Tformers.com has put up an image gallery of all the upcoming releases of the Power Core Combiner toys. These do no solely include the ones from Wave 1 that we've seen before, but the newer ones from Wave 2 and those from future waves that were first revealed at BotCon as well.

In particular, here is a break down of the images of the figures, explaining which ones belong in which waves and which ones are the newest to be seen.

Wave 1 figures that we've seen and know of are:
2-packs
Smolder with Chopster
Huffer with Caliburst
Searchlight with Backwind

5-packs
Bombshock with Combaticons
Skyburst with Aerialbots

Wave 2 figures are those we've haven't seen as much of, which are:
2-packs
Icepick with Chainclaw
Leadfoot with Pinpoint
Sledge with Throttler

5 packs
Double Clutch with Rallybots (no pics)
Mudslinger with Destructicons

The rest of these are those from future waves that had not been seen until last month's BotCon.
2-packs
Windburn with Darkray
Darkstream with Razorbeam
Steelshot with Beacon

5-packs
Stakeout with Protectobots
Crankcase with Destrons

Unfortunately, there are two downsides to these future wave figures. one is that the above are ALL redecos. The commanders, the Mini-Cons, even the drones; they are all redecoed molds without any alterations other than their colors and their assigned partners/teams.

The other down side is that there were a few more PCC figures announced at Botcon that ARE all new molds but are not among these images. They are:
2-packs
Heavytread with Groundspike
Skyhammer with Airlift

5-packs
Steamhammer with Constructicons
Grimstone with Dinobots

It looks like Crankcase and the Destrons (which sounds like an indie band) maybe our last, best hope at the Stunticons getting some love. Specifically Roadmaster.

*Squee* Crankcase is definately full of Motormaster-ism. I can only hope, that they see fit to give me some cars to attach him to, eventually. ^_^

By the way:: Does anyone else think that Huffer's new robot mode, looks an awful lot like the robot mode of the G1 Swindle toy?

Now that you mention...it does quite a bit.

I added one to my collection and it's sitting here on my desk, and I'm like, hmm... it really really really looks like Swindle.

Yeah it does look similar to Swindle, but I think they were just hitting a little close to the G1 Huffer figure's face and spaced out the color scheme. As for the Stunticons I'm still crossing my fingers for them in the third movie. Plus If Hasbro would update old combiner groups I'd hope for a Voyager Leader and Deluxe Commando's, at least for the original groups. These new groups are sweet and I have nothing bad to say about them but come on you just can't out do the originals.

I nabbed Leader Starscream and Battle Blade Bumblebee, easily the definitive figures for those two characters. BB Bumblebee is really the only Bumblebee you need with all the stuff he comes with.

I added a Huffer to my collection, recently (obviously). When I first heard about it, I was rather ambivilent to the whole Power Core thing, but honestly, it's bringing back good memories of the old Scramble city type combiners...

...plus you know... HUFFER MAXIMUMUS SMASH!
