No Need to Worry.

Hey everybody, I was in my local Target store today and I got a sneek peek in the back room and OMG I was in "Transformer heaven'  they had boxes, upon boxes, upon boxes of toys with nothing but Transformers Movie toys and of course the few remain Cybertron and Classics toys that got shipped there. Unfortunately I couldn't take any pictures (for obvious reasons). So those of you worrying you won't get the special character(s) you want I wouldn't worry, just don't spend any money for a few more days.

I was at my target and half the wall was completely empty. Upon further inspection I noticed the price tags for all of the movie stuff. Just 4 more days to go! ^_^

*waves* I'm a long time browser on this site, and this is my first time posting on here, but I HAD to post about the heart attack that I had when I was in Wal Mart today. I've been waiting and waiting for them to have ANYTHING for the movie, or new classics, or anything at all, and today is my vindication. I walked into the toy department, and the shelves were wiped clear, and BAM. piled as high as the racks were boxes labled "not to be released till June 2". I was like YESSSS!! So I asked to be sure, and the sales associate was nice enough to let me hold several of them in my hands, and told me when they're going on the shelves (i.e. time of day, when they'll be in the system, etc) so I'm foaming at the mouth for saturday to get here.
I am telling all of you, these figures are FANTASTIC. They are BEAUTIFUL. They are PERFECTION!!!
And I just got my paycheck too!! WHOOOO!!!

Lucky ducks! So much for the deluxe toy early release. I see sightings pouring in, but I have yet to see *anything* but movie preview figures at any of the stores I've been too. Happy hunting everyone! Thanks all for keeping the sightings and toy reviews coming!

We had blank walls at one Target store here and the other store has a wall full movie toys. Robo vision Optimus is calling my name -- wait all movie toys are calling my name. These things are way better in person. Toys R Us here is still under street date Nazi regime until Friday at Midnight. I'm glad to hear these are not going to be hard to find like some Alternators.

Here in Easton, PA, our Wal-Mart has tons of deluxe movie toys on the shelf, for at least a week now...

What really bugs me about all of this though is that they won't sell any of what they have in the store, regardless of whatever reason. :-( And, working in retail myself, I know its kind of bad for a business to not do that, especially when a customer knows that its there, has the prices for it, or similar ones, etc. And really especially when the 'street date' has been lifted by the company which produces the toys... *sighs*
So, having said all of that to the VERY nice lady at Wal Mart yesterday, she said "well, I can't sell it to you.." and gave me this really sad look, because she knew it broke my heart. And then she kind of walked off with me holding some of the figures. And I said to her, "You're going to just walk off with me holding these? You trust me to do that?" And she said yes because they weren't in the system.

I ALMOST left with them right then, because it wouldn't technically be theft, but I'm too honest. I fail at existence.. :-(

Finally!!!
I have been checking around often ever since Hasbro lifted the street date and completely and utterly failed at telling ANY stores about it, and a while back I noticed them tagging all the Cybertron and Classics figures with clearance prices. Later the shelves were empty. It seemed like they were taking their time with it as if they didn't plan on the figures being there until June 2 but they obviously had them in stock and were preparing to sell.
I'm still grumpy that Hasbro didn't tell anyone they could sell the figures early. What is the point of lifting the street date and not telling any stores that they did?

I just cant wait to get my hands on these new toys! I went to target on monday and they had like tons of spaces for deluxes and scouts but all they had were protoforms and merchandies :(

HEY!!!! I am SOOOO proud of what I did today!!!! I work just down the street from the Wal Mart here, and so I took a copy of the press release from Hasbro that states the lifting of the street date for the toys and which ones can be sold when to the store. It took me 40 minutes, a vendor from Mattel, four sales associates, and two managers...

BUT I WAS ABLE TO PURCHASE TWO FIGURES!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to buy more, but I didn't have as much money on me as I thought that I did. So that sort of sucks. But hey, two figures isn't bad when I AM THE FIRST PERSON IN MY TOWN AND POSSIBLY EVERYWHERE AROUND ME TO HAVE THEM!!!!

*dances*

All I had to do was convince them to scan the deluxe figures, and BAM. Instant sale. Soooo.. anyone wanting to buy one.. if you know that the merchandise is in the store.... do what I did. I can almost guarantee you results.

Oh, by the way. I bought Bumblebee and Jazz.

I work at a Toys R' Us, over in CA, and our storeroom is full of movie tf's, all with the "Do not put on shelf on June 02, 2007" on the box, and no notice on our corporate homepage, so people shouldnt say the street day is lifted on all figures. But yes, there will be plenty of stock of the figures, with both "waves" out in the beggining.
