Perceptor's alternate mode is a little disipointing I was hoping for something closer to his G1 mode. He looks like a cybertron pickup truck with a giant gun in the back.

And he's not a triple changer just a mode to stablize him when he's working.

That's exactly what I like about it! They found a way to keep his microscope elements without making him a mass changer like the G1 days or minicon that turns into a human sized microscope! BRAV-OOO! What more could you want? NADA from me, the world's biggest Perceptor fan!

While I'm not crazy about the face design, I like the overall attempt to make Perceptor look like Perceptor in robot mode, while giving him a more commercial vehicle mode.

As of now, all we know is that he'll be appearing in the comic packaged with the Jet twins (which was originally gonna be The Arrival issue 6, but never made it). No word on if he'll even appear in the toon.

Well, according to the thing on the side of the sheet, it says episode 30. Considering we're up to 26 by just the two seasons that's really early in the season. Now consider that the movie is considered the first 3 episodes, that makes 29, meaning this guy would be in the first episode of TFA season 3.

I can see the guy who does the voice of Wilt in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends as the voice of this Perceptor.

That's Phil Lamar, Sabrblade. He's very popular as a voice actor in cartoons and video games. Actually I think Adam and Jamie from MythBusters should voice Perceptor and Wheeljack respectively. I think it would be great.

That's him? Well, now that I think about it, Wilt does sound like Jazz (and a lot of the other charatcers he's voiced).

Personally i dont think Phil Lamar would do a good Perceptor. He does Jazz awesomely, but i dont think his voice would fit as Perceptor.

Phil Lamar has a unique voice, in that he can switch from deep and heroic (Green Lantern/Jon Stewart from Justice League and Justice League Unlimited) to a guy like Wilt from Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends. He's extremely talented as a voice actor. He's no Frank Welker, but he's good. But I agree Autobutt, it's kind of hard for me to place his voice in that animation model for Perceptor.

However, Paul Eiding, the original voice of Perceptor is still around and very much active in voice over work. If they couldn't get Adam Savage from MythBusters to play him, then they might as well give fans a treat and call Paul in to do the honors. His voice work was distinctive enough that Perceptor stood out among the characters of G1.

I think Perceptor looks great in all his modes. I love the glasses in robot mode. Gives him that " I'm a smart guy" look. Personally I don't care who does his voice. I do like the Adam and Jamie thing though. Mythbusters is a good show.

I never thought this would be a good update for Perceptor, and while I think Paul Eiding reprising his role would be cool, I think it would be hilarious if Kelsey Grammer did his voice.

I dunno 'bout you folks, but i think ol' wheeljack looks kinda like MR T from the A-Team rather than a scientist, but perceptor's nicely done and all

Wheeljack really doesnt look like a scientist. He looks more like an engineer or mechanic or something. He even has a toolbelt sort of thing.

He looks cool. I'd like to see him as a Ford F-350 Super Duty. He looks like a Toyota Tundra in vehicle mode. His bot mode is nice. His telescope mode looks way cool to me.
