Pretty short review.

I've heard that this game was lame. Never got to play it myself.

Though, I noticed that there wasn't any mentioning of the Skriix.

And judging by the certain characters one could play as, I just have to say, "What? No love for Waspy?"

I looked up some info on the online multiplayer feature, and found this:
"While the Playstation version of the game was limited to a single-player affair, the PC version surprisingly had an option to play with up to 8 people over LAN or online; in fact, for a while during the game's release, the MSN Gaming Zone reserved several rooms for multiplayer Beast Wars games. 'Fans' of the game claim this is enough to dredge the game out from being horrible to barely mediocre."

And, about this "Video Game Week", the timeing isn't quite that good (for me), cuz I'll be out of town all week visiting relatives. I am, however, taking my laptop, so I MAY be able to get online and comment from time to time, but my Internet activity may be a little less than normal this week.

One last question, will you be reviewing any Japanese-exclusive games (i.e. - Convoy no Nazo, The Heademasters, the Commodore 64 games, Call of the Future, etc.)?

Yeah, they actually made a model for Waspinator and everything, and then just didn't include him in the game. Like I said, I didn't get to play the online as at the time I didn't have a computer that was fast enough to run the game.

Sorry about the timing, but I've actually been prepared for this for two weeks. I just haven't had the time to post all of the reviews, so I'm taking to it now. Check in whenever you can though.

And no, I'm only going to be reviewing games that have been released stateside. The only Japanese exclusive game that I have played is the Beast Wars game for the Gameboy Color, and I won't review any until I've played them through.

guys I know this is off subject but I looked up ROTF and they said the name of the purple motercycle was flareup.

You don't need to play the Famicom games through to know how bad they are. And whatever you do don't spend money on them. The ports are good(bad?) enough and can be downloaded for free though they give you only one life. The originals gave you three I think.
The first Commodore 64 Transformers game is slightly better than the Famicom games. It's actually a neat little curiosity at first but the controls will drive you bonkers if you haven't already gone mad waiting for the admittedly beautiful title screen to load.
The second Commodore 64 game appears to be a strategy game of sorts. I say "appears" because no one knows for sure. It crashes anytime anyone tries to play it. It has a very neat opening however.
I have not played the Japanese PS2 game, but it appears to play like the Armada game without the pretty graphics.
I think that covers all the Japanese exclusives.

I had a PC demo of the game and you could only play as Inferno or Rattrap. The graphics were ok for the time but the game was very limited as for what you could do. For those who never got to play, you didn't miss anything.

Interesting trivia fact about this game. In the Animorphs TV series, this game could be seen from time to time being played by some of the show's characters. What's interesting about this is that, at the time, there was an Animorphs Transformers toyline out at the same time as the Beast Wars TV series to go along with the show.

Interesting still, Sabr, the same company that made this game, also went on to make an Animorphs video game as well.
