These "ancestor" (?) zombies seem less brutish than Cliffjumper was.

Very smart thinking on Bulkhead's part to slide Miko forward under the enemies' legs to avoid laser fire.

Eradicons speak yet again. :D

Optimus having arm swords (like his Movie counterpart) is still cool, but also kinda starting to get over done. Originality can be a good thing every once in a while.

They are really showing the severity of this war with the humans watching the battle from a perspective that shows that they could be easily killed at any point in the fight.

Onboard the Cons' warship, Raf is acting in probably the most realistic way a human child should be acting in such a situation: scared, distressed, and doubtful of his survival.

What was that stuff Fowler said right before Bumblebee fired at Starscream to break the stalemate?

SLAG, YEAH! Starscream fired his thruster Arcee to blast her right after he transformed. I am LOVING this creative use of transformation offenses and manuveurs.

Look a that! Useful human sidekicks (in that they got a snapshot of Megatron's plans), and it's only episode 4.

Welker's starting to sound closer and closer to his G1 Megs voice in this episode.

So, Jack (age 16) and Raf (age 12 1/4) attend the same school? Are there that many grades in it, or did Raf skip a grades or two?

I smell a Jack/Miko shipping. Though, if it comes to fruition, hopefully it'll turn out better than those that went nowhere (i.e. - Rad/Alexis, Kicker/Misha, etc.).

Megs wants to build a space bridge. Okay. But the Cons already ahve one on Cybertron, as seen in the TF: Prime graphic novel. Mybe he needs an Earth-based one for back-and-forth travel, as the one Arcee, Cliff, and Screamer used in the comic to get to Earth seemed more like a one-way trip.

And, Megatron wants to use Dark Energon on Cybertron to resurrect an army of undead soldiers. One probelm with that. When Dark Energon was used on Cybertron before, IT DID NOT DO THAT! What is up with this Dark Energon? It's effects in this show are in complete disagreement with both Exodus and WFC.

Gorgeous shot of Cybertron at the end.

Hate to admit, this episode has me a little down about the series. Couple reasons:

I'm concerned that all those cool Eradacon drones have lost their coolness factor. For one thing, it's starting to bug me that they take 50+ shots before they can hit a target. I'm also afraid that they're going to be wimpy little speed bumps for the Autobots on their way to attacking Megatron/Starscream... No! If there's an army of Eradicons, I want them to be badass, like they were in episode 1!

Also, I don't mind if Welker sounds like his G1 Megatron self, but I do NOT want him to be his G1 Megatron self. >>Optimus defeats Megatron, then Megs returns to Decepticon base without consequence... Then gets pissy at Starscream because he lost a 3 Autobots to 1 fight. Wait, Megatron, you realize just lost a fight w/ you and an ARMY of Decepticon zombies vs. Optimus Prime, alone? + a little help from Ratchet.

After the fact that Megs just got it butt kicked, hearing him yelling at Starscream about only he shall get to kill Optimus... bla, bla, bla... It reminds me of the stuff I didn't like about G1...

I want TFP Megatron to be powerful and genuinely scary, like Megatron of Beast Wars, or Animated... Not the Megatron who gets his butt kicked then cackles with laughter about how he'll get him "next time!"

The fact that they haven't even mentioned Cliffjumper again has me most worried... This team seems flat w/o him.

So far, I'm kind of indifferent to the kids. I neither love nor hate them.

Look forward to seeing how tomorrow turns out.

Well, from where I am this week, I can't watch these on the hub either, so I gotta wait for the YouTube version before I can watch too.

As for the Dark Energon, I really wish they'd give us a reason as to why this Dark Energon acts so wildly different from the game and book. I mean, it did seem kinda similar when Megs put it in himself here, but the game and book did not have it reviving anyone who died.

In fact, the book specifially showed that whoever was nearest to a soldier who died got that bot's Dark Energon. Instead of reviving to dead bot, the Dark Energon left him to join up with a new host. Whereas this new Dark Energon thrives on dead bodies instead of abandoning them.

Now I know that this could be a new variation of the stuff (like how we specualted such before), but it would nice if they could TELL us that.

Alright, I'm less skeptical after this episode. This was pretty solid. What got me was when the kids suffered sensory overload during the battle on the ship, that was really well done. It added realism to make that moment even more dramatic.

You're right about the whole G1 retreat thing, Megs fagged out against 2 lone autobots who r worn out from battling mad zombies.Yet again Soundwave does nothing.I like Miko homegirl is live. The eradicons are erkin' me, easy targets for the autobots twice(The formentioned &zombies. Where r the real con's the seekers,Lugnut,Triple changers,Where's some bots the Con's could whoop on,this slag is startin' 2 bcome cheesy like,no con wrath just retreat after retreat from battles that could b easily won.

i speculate that the reason megatron left was because his dark energon power up was nearly exausted, his power needs to recharge or the energon is driving him mad there for he isn't thinking clearly

hear's an alternative point of view about megatrons retreet

and this one sutes the caricter of both game and book aswell as a cold calculating leader

his retreet was simply taunting prime. he spasificly told ratchet and prime that this was not the main event. he was fear mongering, giving the bots something to wurry about to cause desentions in the ranks aswell as keeping the bots guessing as to what he would do next.
it was pure fluke that the kids found the specs for the bridge that would transport fallen cybertronian warriors.

i think it is another brand of dark energon that this series uses.
ratchet says it was skairse almost as to be non existant. that matches up to the book when it is spasificly stated that dark energon was runningout the mor it was used.
also the blood of unicron vs the spark of unicron.
in adition to this, dark energon was stored on cybertron on tripticon in orbit. perhaps 1 is easyer to harvist than the other.
why else would it take megatron 3 years to find mor?

all together i will have to watch this mini series from start to finish once episode 5 is up.

it would be grate if it was put on to dvd with no theme and break of episodes. amazing looking movie lol

do we have any idea of when prime officially starts on the hub yet?
Sabrblade said,  - 2010-12-03 15:55:11
These are airing on the Hub officially as episodes 1-5. Episode 6-26 won't be coming until February 2011. (*darn it!*)
