The man who gave us Transformers!

A happy new year everyone!

Does anyone know who George Dunsay is? No? He was Hasbro's head of R&D in 1983, and thus responsible for greenlighting the Transformers toyline.

Mr. Dunsay has been kind enough to give me a lengthy interview about his involvement in the history of the Transformers brand, which you can read here.

Special thanks have to go to Karl Hartman for establishing the initial contact, and of course to George Dunsay for the interview.

Fascinating, indeed. His commentary about the power of walmart is particularly interesting. Even though this seems to be a good thing for Transformers (for now) it sounds like a very unfortunate truth...
