Scott Farrar was interviewed on SciFi.com's SciFi Wire.  Scott was the visual-effects supervisor on Transformers the Movie.  He says that TF2 will be more visually ambitious.  More importantly Mr. Farrar says that the TF2 "commitment is that it's a deep story".

Transformers 2 will be talked about a lot in mid 2008. I wonder if that comic that goes with the transformers movie DVD will go with REALLY be a prequel to the sequel.

A "deep" story, huh??? I don't buy it. Not if Michael Bay is directing it. I think by "deep" he means, expect a decepticon submarine to go 'fishing' 20,000 leagues (deep) beneath the sea for a certain M.I.A. Decepticion Leader. (And I would expect his expedition to be successful.) That's about as "deep" as I expect it to be. (and I don't mind a bit!)

Okay, okay, I've got it!!! How about a submarine, using **echo** location-- (echo- get it, *sound*) by the name of Soundwave? He could have a little crew of helpers on board, Frenzy, Ravage, Scorponok, throw in Rumble and call it a day!

Frankly tho, I don't care about Soundwave. I say Bring me Grimlock and the Dinobots!!!!!

I guess that in TF2, the Autobots will be in 'deep' trouble!
