Animated Jet Twins' bio

An recent auction on Ebay of the Transformers Animated Jetstorm & Jetfire 2-pack has several images that give us a good look at the box while revealing the bio of the toys at the same time.

Created using the most advanced techniques known to AUTOBOT science, JETSTORM and JETFIRE were cloned from tech recovered from STARSCREAM. Brought online in a secret laboratory deep beneath CYBERTRON, they are the first AUTOBOTS created specifically to battle the DECEPTICONS. Though they are young, they are extremely intelligent, working their way through the Elite Guard Boot Camp in record time. Together they are potentially the most powerful AUTOBOTS of all time, especially when they combine into their SAFEGUARD form.

They weren't actually "made" from Starscream. They were two Protoform volunteers for Perceptor and Wheeljack's project to copy Decepticon Flight Powers from Starscream to grant Autobots the ability to fly. They were the guinea pigs for the plan.

Was that when Megatron & Starscream got sucked into the Space Bridge at the end of season 2? Or, were some parts of Starscream left behind on earth? Or were some parts of Starscream stolen by Perceptor & Wheeljack before he was made? Sabrblade, please clarify what you mean by ( They were actually " made" from Starscream. Just wondering.

Sounds to me that the Autobots took a page from Prof. Sumdac's book and reverse engineered Decepticon tech for their own purposes. They probably didn't just disassemble and rebuild Starscream or any of his clones, but they studied the technology and used it to build two brand new guys.

My only issue is the "Two-Face" esque combined mode. It just looks a little out there, even for me.

A character I wouldn't mind seeing in the new show is Punch/Counterpunch though.
