Soundwave's satellite mode in CGI

The UK ROTF site has been updated with a feature that involves a movie CGI mage of Soundwave's satellite mode. Enter the website, then look in the upper-right corner of the page and you will see Soundwave as a satellite with the letters "NAV" next to him. Click on him and he will enlage himself to become the website's navigation function and will show a more detailed look at himself. Hopefully we'll get to see more of him later on.

IN space, no one can hear you fail to have an altmode. Or hear anything. Odd to have the master of sound in a media that cannot propagate acoustic energy...

CapnScumbone, he CAN mess with communications on Earth. That's pretty menacing, right?

This Soundwave is a satellite because G1 Soundwave was the Decepticons' Communications Officer. And what do satellites do? They transmit global communications! Mystery solved.

Well, also bear in mind that even in G1 Soundwave wasn't always a tape deck. He started off with an alt mode something akin to a lamp post or, more likely, a communications tower so he could tap into and monitor enemy transmissions and deploy his scouts from a location of tactical advantage.

Yeah, so he's not always the Music Man. But he is always the communicator.

AWESOME! I wonder if soundwave will still eject ravage in the movie or if ravage is on his own

I think the Soundwave satellite mode looks very bad! You can clearly see his head.

>>"You can clearly see his head."

No you can't. If you're referring to that glowing red part that looks like a visor, that's not his head.

Most likely it was made to LOOK like his head like in the toy. Still, you never know.

That red part that looks like a visor that isn't his head is on the toy too. And it's not his head there either.

I think the NEW Soundwave is even more bad ass than his Gen1 version. Besides, cassette desks are antiquated tech these days ;)
