I have the say the thing I am most happy about with this figure: his name. Still Leo Prime, proving evermore that I won that stupid name war. Stupid war. People died!

I would rejoice, if Hasbro hadn't been so shoddy on this one!

While I applaud them for the attempt, they obvious got lazy with this figure. He's got the same bio as before, which mostly focuses on his IDW comic appearances and once again completely ignores his past life during Beast Wars II. And his waist area, tail, claws, and other body parts are left completely unpainted in Leobreaker's colors, when they ought to be either white or gold intead of that "sand orange" color. How 'bout a little more effort in paint apps next time, Hasbro?

And he's STILL got that dumb Autobot symbol on his when he's clearly a Maximal!

They got it right on the second try with Universe G1-accurate Starscream, yet they did not do so well on this one. I'm sorry but this figure is just sad.

Well I liked his postiton in the IDW comic so I'm fine with them using that, but I agree with you on everything else Sabr

and im going to say this, my paint job on the first Leo Prime figure looks much better than this. what is the deal with the tan mid-section on the lion?

The lion's eye's look as if it has guyliner on.

Apart from that it looks SO much better than the first one. No Target store's in the UK though : /

If I can find this guy I may pick him up. I never even knew the other one in g1 Prime colors had come out. I never saw it any where. Another figure I never saw was the Universe version of Vector Prime, I liked those colors and since I never had the original would have picked that up. I am also kind of surprised Primus was not reissued to go along with the reissue of Unicron.

I'd say not for a long time. I'd expect him out near the end of the year: late Fall or Winter, or maybe even Spring 2010. I dunno.

I'm just unhappy they decided to use the same mold. Not that I ever owned it before I got Bocton Razorclaw, but from the pics I've seen the mold really isn't all that good. Not to mention when I first saw the new headmold on this fig I thought it belonged more on animated prime then good ol' lio. Anyway all things considered it still looks pretty good and accurate, and will look good with my classics mini leo on top of it. Still I wish they'd just recolor the actual lio figure into the line. If they could do it with Optimus Prime and Vector Prime, they could surely do it for "Leo Prime" too cuz that'd be prime lol
