Takara-Tomy Designer Interview

Posted by:
Perceptor at 2009-08-31 7:13 am has posted an translated interview with Takara-Tomy: Transformers designer/engineer Hisashi Yuki.  Hisashi-san has worked on ROTF, RID, Binaltech & even Beast Wars Neo Unicron and I think you'll find it worth the time it takes to read.  It's always interesting to me to hear from designers really care, and put a lot of their time and talents into each toys's design.

Very informative.

So, he's the guy behind the BWNeo Unicron proto. That figure looks like it would've been very fun. Lots of gimmicks and weaponry. Though, doesn't it seem like some of its design elements went into the Primus figure? I mean, the hemisphere on the robot back, the two fold-out shoulder weapons, the equatorial spikes, etc.
