Transformers: Prime logo and brief description

Lately, there has been very little talk about the next Transformers cartoon, Transformers: Prime. Not much of what we have been told about it really gives us any good clue as to what it'll be about and feature. But, we take what we get I guess. And what we have here is another piece to add to the puzzle: the series logo.

Advertising Age features an ad for the Hub (the channel that the new cartoon will air on), which gives us our first glimpse at the logo for the Prime cartoon, as well as a brief description of what the series is about:
"Show-runners Jeff Kline ('Ghostbusters,' 'Dragon Tales'), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci ('Transformers', 'Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen', 'Star Trek') continue the saga 'Optimus Prime' and the 'Autobots' battle the evil 'Decepticons' led by 'Megatron'. This fall, viewers will experience the world of 'Transformers' like never before."

Like never before? What could that mean? This mystery just makes things all the more interesting.

I wonder what station it will be on..............

But in other words BEAST!

I don't think "like never before" means very much. Everything comes out saying "like never before" these days, that... well, it's becoming redundant, lol.

Agreed, TriPredRavage. I don't know that they're actually able to keep that promise, given how many times the line has changed over the years. What are they going to do? "Alright...they're more like superheroes...wait, did that in Animated. They turn into animals...wait...No, they turn into people...ugh...um Industrial age machines...nope. Um, World War 2? Shoot...they go around collecting smaller transformers...hmmm...planet keys and we do the series mostly in space? Nope, done already too?"

Frankly I'm a little weary of reboots. Can't we just find a continuity and expand on that again like in Beast Wars?

I want professional dubs of the Japanese exclusive series. Oh, and everything put on DVD. Baby steps, I suppose.

I'm assuming its going to be based off of the movies then.

I second Sidewinder on the feelings of reboots. The more you reboot a series, the more you diminish it.
Personally, I'd like to revisit the G1/BW universe. Maybe follow up G1 after Rebirth? Or even follow up the (IMO) lame Beast Machines series. And what if the villian wasn't Megatron/Galvatron? And it wasn't necessarily Optimus Prime who was the hero?
From the looks of the very movie-ish Bumblebee, I'm guessing TF:P will be based off the movies though.

I would actually like to see a "Transformers Ultimate," merging all the TF series and dinmentions, so we can finally have the best of the best: Optimus Primal and Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Cheetor, or Megatron and BW Megatron!
Or maybe, on the other hand, we could get a movie TV series, like Cyber Missions but longer and less sucky. Or, at last, we could get a G1 reboot, with even better toys. A leader-class Megatron gun with lightss and sounds... Or a voyager G1 Optimus Prime... Of course, these ideas will never become a reality.

Well, don't forget the Transformers Classics and Universe line Masterforce. G1(ish) style voyager Optimus and voyager Megatron that turned into a gun.

I wonder if the title "P R I M E" is abbreviated to stand for something else. Notice how its spelled. Although the font is like the movie, this one has spaces in between the letters. lets try and figure it out. what could it stand for? Hmmmmmm

Most likely, it has to do with the movies!

That's what Transformers Animated was --> Transformers Ultimates... And yes I would be quite happy if that series just continued. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be...

Transformers Prime: A signature show for a signature new project of Hasbro --> their own television network... Written by the guys who wrote the live action movies, Bumblebee looks like an only slightly more cartoony version of his movie-verse self, the logo looks like a cross between movie and G1... Sure seems like this series is going to be expanded Movie-verse... Wonder if they'll get Cullen to voice Optimus Prime?!

P.R.I.M.E.???

Sidewinder, I remeber those 2 TFs, but that Megatron looked like a nerf gun. I want a completely G1 type figure, like Masterpiece megatron but more playable. I don't like the masterpiece line because the figures are expensive and I don't want to break them. :-)
And Perceptor, transformers Animated was a whole universe of homages, but I have to say I didn't really like the animation style. I would like to see something like the CGI unicron Trilogy TFs, with the Witwickys.

I'm not trying to be a troll here, but I'm hearing a lot of people asking for more G1. But IMO all we've gotten for the last decade has been G1. I'm sick of G1! Can't we visit another series? Like a western take on Masterforce or Victory? And hey, as long as I'm asking for stuff that'll never happen, a revival for the Brave series would be nice...
